Hello lovely people,
It's Nisha here from Joyful Living.
I hope you're well.
So today we're going to do a yoga nidra guided meditation around if you've ever been on a retreat or a festival,
Time in nature,
A healing journey,
Or simply a moment in life that awakened something deep within you.
So this practice today is an invitation to gently integrate everything you've experienced as I personally have been away at a festival at the weekend facilitating yoga and dance meditation and it was a beautiful festival,
Lovely and amazing time and then come back to reality in a way.
So it's like how can we use those experiences to bring that magic throughout our everyday lives when you're feeling inspired,
When you know emails,
Washing,
Piles responsibilities return.
So the everyday world asks us to step back into our familiar routines and it can feel as though the magic begins to fade.
But today we remember something important.
The peace you discovered.
The joy that happens.
The love you experience.
The connections you had.
Was never created by the place.
It was awakened within you.
And what has been awakened can never truly be lost.
Say yoga nidra.
Is the practice of conscious rest.
During this session,
There is nothing to achieve.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to become.
Simply allow yourself to receive.
So find a comfortable position.
Lying on your back.
On your back.
Just wherever you feel comfortable.
Allow your feet to fall open.
That your arms rest beside you.
Palms turned gently upward.
Make any final adjustments,
Knowing that once you become still,
Your body can completely surrender.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And gently saw it out again.
Breathing in peace.
Breathing out effort.
And one final deep breath.
As you exhale.
Allow the whole weight of your body to be held by the earth.
You have nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
Only this moment.
Before we begin our journey inward.
Allow your sankalpa.
Your intention to arise.
Not something your mind wishes to achieve.
But something your heart already knows.
Perhaps you'll think how Perez,
I live with joy.
I trust my pa.
I am deeply rooted in love.
Or I am home or something that resonates with you.
And repeat it three times in your mind,
Silently to yourself.
Now we begin moving awareness through the body.
No need to move.
Simply listen.
Allow awareness to travel.
Throughout the body.
Starting on the right side.
The right hand thumb.
Fast finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger Little finger.
Palm of the hand.
Back of the hand.
Breath.
Forearm.
Elbow.
Top palm.
Right shoulder.
Chats.
Bye.
Me.
Shin.
Ankle.
Top of the foot.
Sew to the foot.
Right big toe.
Second time.
The whole right side of your body.
Is relax.
To the left side of the body.
Left hand thumb.
Fast finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Palm of the hand.
Back of the hand.
Breath.
Forearm.
Owlbow.
Top palm.
Left shoulder.
Thigh.
Me.
Left ankle.
Top of the foot.
Sole of the foot.
Left big toe.
Second.
Bye.
The whole left side of your body.
Yes,
Voilà.
The whole body.
Relax.
The forehead.
They are.
The jaw.
Relax.
Abdomen.
The whole body.
The whole body.
Bring awareness now to your natural breath.
No need to change it.
Simply notice.
Feel the gentle rise of your abdomen as you inhale.
The soft fall as you exhale.
As you breathe in,
Imagine drawing golden light into your heart.
As you breathe out.
Allow any heaviness to dissolve into the earth.
Without effort.
Without fall.
Begin counting your breath backwards from 27.
27,
Breathing in,
27,
Breathing out.
26 25 If you lose count,
Gently begin again.
Now imagine warmth.
The warmth of sunshine on your skin.
The warmth of a loving embrace.
The warmth of belonging.
Feel warmth throughout your body.
Now experience coolness.
The breeze after rain.
A cool morning air.
Gentle shade.
Beneath ancient trees.
Now feel heaviness.
Your whole body melting into the earth.
Deeply supported.
Nothing to hold.
Now lightness.
As though every cell is floating,
Weightless.
Effortless.
Heaviness and lightness.
Receiving yourself.
Both with ease.
Imagine yourself.
Walking along a beautiful forest path.
The air is fresh.
Birds surround you.
Sunlight gently through the leaves.
With each step,
Your shoulders soften.
Your breath deepens.
You arrive at a clearing.
This place feels familiar.
Sacred.
Perhaps it reminds you of the retreat.
The festival.
Or perhaps somewhere new.
Trust whatever appears.
At the center of this space is a magnificent tree.
Ancient,
Wise,
Strong.
Its roots stretch deep into the earth.
Its branches reach effortlessly towards the sky.
Walk towards the tree.
Sit beneath it.
Feel the Earth supporting you.
Notice now every joyful experience you've had in your life appearing around you as tiny lights.
The laughter.
The music.
The dancing,
The healing circles.
The moments of silence.
The conversations.
The tears.
The stars.
Each memory glows like a golden lantern.
One by one.
These lights begin floating towards you.
Not outside you,
But into your heart.
As each light enters,
It becomes part of you.
Nothing is left behind.
Nothing is lost.
The retreat has become you.
The festival has become you.
The healing has become you.
The joy has become you.
You are no longer visiting peace.
You are becoming peace.
Now the great tree begins sharing its wisdom.
Without words.
Only feeling.
Its roots remind you.
Stay grounded.
Its trunk reminds you.
Stay true.
Its branches remind you,
Keep growing.
Its leaves whisper,
Trust.
Everything comes at exactly the right time.
Rest whenever you need.
Bloom whenever you're ready.
Now imagine tomorrow morning,
You're awake in your own home.
The familiar surroundings greet you.
Perhaps dishes still need washing.
Laundry still waits.
Work continues.
Life carries on.
Yet something feels different.
You move more slowly.
You notice the sunlight.
You appreciate your morning tea.
You smile at strangers.
You breathe before reacting.
You choose kindness.
You choose presence.
Extraordinary has quietly woven itself into the ordinary.
The magic is no longer somewhere else.
It lives within every breath you take.
Come back to your sankalpa,
Your intention.
Repeat it three times in your mind.
And let it come.
And let it manifest into your life.
Knowing the seeds.
Has already begun to grow.
Begin to notice your breath once more.
Feel your body resting upon the earth.
Become aware of the room around you.
You can either take little movements to come back to your body.
Or just keep resting.
Your body knows what it needs.
Hari Om Tat Sat Hari Om Tat Sat Thank you for joining me.
See you next time.
