Hi lovely people,
It's Nisha here from Joyful Living.
I hope you're well.
So today's yoga nidra is going to be around hormonal balance,
Especially for women that are going through their prenatal menopause and menopausal symptoms.
So I would like you to get really,
Really comfortable.
So a time,
This is a time where your body may feel different.
Your sleep may change.
Your emotions feel stronger.
Your energy may rise and fall.
And sometimes it can feel as though your body is asking you to slow down.
Even when life is asking you to keep going.
So remember,
You don't need to fix anything.
You don't need to understand everything.
You don't need to change anything.
You simply allow yourself to rest.
So allow yourself to get really comfortable.
Perhaps lying down in your bed.
Using this time before falling asleep.
So get yourself warm and peaceful.
Perhaps supporting your head.
Perhaps place a cushion underneath your knees.
Cover yourself with a blanket.
And then when you're ready.
Gently close your eyes.
And take a slow breath in through the nose.
And gently breathe out.
And again,
Breathing in.
I'm letting go.
And one more time.
A beautiful easy breath in.
.
.
And a gentle,
Long,
Soft breath out.
Now allowing your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.
There is nothing you need to control.
Nothing you need to achieve.
Just simply allow yourself.
To be supported.
And bringing your awareness.
To the surface beneath you.
Feel the weight of your body.
The back of your head.
Your shoulders.
Your power first.
Your heels.
Notice that you don't have to hold yourself up.
The Earth is supporting you.
The surface beneath you is supporting you.
Allow yourself to surrender.
A little more deeply into that support.
And relax your forehead.
Soften the space between your eyebrows.
Let your cheeks soften.
Unclench your jaw.
Let your tongue rest gently.
And soften your throat.
Relax your shoulders.
And let your belly be soft.
And allow your whole body.
To receive this moment of rest.
Now come and set your sankalpa.
Your intention.
It could be I allow myself to slow down.
I trust my body's natural rhythm.
Or something that resonates with you.
Trusting with your heart about sankalpa,
Your intention.
And repeat it in your mind.
Three times.
No expectation.
Just a gentle reminder.
Now bring your awareness to the right hand.
Right hand thumb second finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger little finger palm of the hand.
Back of the hand.
Your breath.
Forearm.
Alba.
Upper arm.
Right shoulder.
Right side of the chest.
Right way.
Right hip.
Your thigh.
And cool.
Heel.
Sew over the foot.
Top of the foot.
The right big toe.
Second time.
Now the left side.
The left hand.
The thumb.
First finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger little finger palm of the hands.
Back of the hand.
The rest.
Forearm.
Alba.
Upper arm.
Left shoulder.
Left side of the chest.
The ways.
Bye.
Car.
Ankle.
So to the fact.
Top of the fact.
Left big toe.
Second time.
That'll tie.
Bring your awareness now to the back of your body.
Back of the head.
Back of the neck.
Shoulder blades.
Hobart Love.
Bye.
The pelvis.
Both heels.
And now the front of the body.
The forehead.
The eye.
No.
The chin.
The chat.
Uh-huh.
Just the whole body.
Letting the whole body keep resting.
Now gently come to your breath now.
Notice the gentle movement of your abdomen.
As you breathe in.
The belly gently expands.
As you breathe out.
The belly softens.
Imagine your breath.
Moving down through the body.
From the chest.
Into the belly.
Through the pelvis.
And down into the leg.
And as you exhale.
Imagine releasing any tension you're carrying.
You don't have to make anything happen.
Simply breathe.
Your body knows.
How to breathe.
Your body has its own rhythm.
Now coming to honour your body.
Bring awareness to your body as it is today.
Perhaps there are parts of your body you have been frustrated with.
Perhaps you don't recognize your body in the same way you once did.
Perhaps you've experienced changes in your weight.
Your skin.
Your sleep.
Your energy.
Your emotions.
Your temperature.
Your cycles.
Or the sense of yourself.
Perhaps you've spent a lot of time wondering.
What's happening to me.
And don't I feel myself?
When will this change?
And for now,
You don't need an answer.
Instead offer yourself compassion.
And place a gentle awareness around your whole body.
And silently say Thank you,
Body.
Everything you have carried.
Everything you have experienced.
For continuing to support me.
For adapting.
For carrying me through every stage of my life.
But you can meet yourself with kindness.
Now imagine yourself beside a beautiful calm ocean.
The sun is low in the sky.
The water is moving gently towards the shore.
And gently moving away.
In and out.
Coming and going.
The ocean doesn't need to force the tide.
It doesn't need to control it.
The tide has its own rhythm.
And just as the ocean moves through cycles.
Your body moves through cycles and seasons too.
Some days you may feel energetic.
Some days may feel slower.
Some days may feel emotional.
Some days may feel expensive.
Some days you need more rest.
And that's okay.
Imagine sitting beside the ocean,
Watching the waves.
Breathing with them in and out.
Now gently bring these words into your awareness.
I listen to my body.
I treat myself with compassion.
I allow myself to rest.
I honour my changing body.
I release the pressure to be everything for everyone.
I trust myself.
I welcome moments of calm.
I allow myself to slow down.
And my body deserves kindness.
Just let those words settle.
And then let them go.
And for the next few moments.
There is nothing more to do.
Simply rest.
And breathe.
And receive.
And B.
Just keep resting.
And breathing.
And just being.
Remember your sankalpa.
Repeat this in your mind.
Three times.
And let it come.
And let it manifest into your life.
With complete feeling and awareness.
Now from this stage.
You can either drift off into a sleep.
Or gently awaken your body.
Whatever your body needs in this moment.
Hari Om Tat Sat.
Hari Om Tat Sat.
See you next time.
Thank you.
