And today is going to be about surrender.
And surrender has been my theme,
My intention lately,
Because there's so much beauty in letting go of control and knowing what you can control and what you can't control.
And we're going to be focusing on just being,
Just being here in this moment,
Right here,
Right now,
And allowing whatever is happening around us and letting it go.
Because that is one amazing way to feel less stress.
When you're able to let go of the things that are out of your control,
You can relax and shift your attention to the things of the people that do matter in life.
So as we start our meditation today,
Finding a comfortable position,
Seated on the ground,
Laying down,
Seated in a chair,
Whatever is comfortable for you in this moment.
And then taking the second to maybe wiggle your body,
Really settling in to the space,
Rocking back and forth.
That's what I typically do.
Just to settle in,
Rolling your shoulders up and back,
Up and down your spine,
Opening up your heart,
Opening up your chest,
And finding that alignment in your body.
Finding that alignment in your head,
Neck and shoulders and settling in here.
Shifting your focus to your breathing.
In through your nose,
Out through your nose.
And just feeling your breath.
Feeling the movement of the air flowing in and out.
Taking the time to go a little bit deeper with your breath.
Breathing in,
Exhaling out all the way.
Breathing in,
Real deep breath and breathing out.
Finding your space,
Connecting to your breath.
And now imagine breathing through your heart.
Taking that air in,
Taking that inhale and sending all of that energy,
All of that oxygen to your open heart.
And breathing out,
Allowing that oxygen to fill up every cell in your being.
Breathing in through your heart and out through your heart.
Taking that visualization,
That energy and opening up your heart to whatever you need today.
Finding that open space and surrendering to the process.
The process of meditation,
The process of just sitting still.
And know that here in this stillness,
There is so much waiting for you.
So much peace.
So much calm.
So much love.
And when we look outside of ourselves for these things and we search and we do,
We lose sight of where they are all of the time.
They are right here within you.
So learning to let go of anything that doesn't serve you right now.
Anything that does not fill you up with peace,
Love,
Joy,
Calm.
You do not need.
Shift your focus and attention to that love,
That peace,
That happiness.
Put your attention there and know that those things live within you.
You don't need to go outside yourself to find those things.
They are within you.
And it's in this surrender,
The surrender of the doing,
Surrender of the action.
And instead,
Surrender to the being,
To the just being here in this moment.
Being with yourself and knowing that everything you need lies within you.
And trusting all of that within you.
Just sitting still as the surrender,
Taking time to be in this meditation is a beautiful surrender.
Knowing that focusing on the breath and just being is taking action,
Is moving you forward leaps and bounds because you are sitting still.
And trust in all of the processes that are happening for you right here,
Right now.
And trust in the unfolding,
The unfolding of whatever is coming to you.
And with that open heart,
You can receive it.
So remember to surrender,
To trust and be open to receiving.
Bring your focus now back to your breathing.
Inhale and exhale.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Bring some movement back into your body and thank yourself.
Thank yourself for giving yourself this time and this space.
And I thank you for giving me this time and this space to show up for you,
To give you this space to surrender.
