Find yourself in a comfortable position.
You can be laying down,
Sitting upright.
No matter where you are,
I want you to ensure that you're number one,
Comfortable.
And number two,
That your back and spine are in alignment,
Your shoulders and hips,
So that you can be aligned in your body.
And then I want you to take a big breath.
I want you to bring your shoulders up,
Up to your ears,
And then drop them down your back.
Just relaxing the body,
Maybe shaking the arms out a little bit.
Now let's do that again.
I want you to inhale through your nose,
Bring your shoulders up to your ears,
And then as you take a big breath out,
Let everything just drop.
And do that again.
Just releasing all that tension within the body.
Settling in to this meditation here,
Giving yourself just a few moments of calm,
Of peace,
Of quiet.
Giving yourself that time to just breathe and be.
Now focus your attention on your breath.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
Just listening to your breathing,
Focusing on the breath in your body,
Whether you're actually listening to your breathing or feeling the cool air in through your nostrils and coming back out.
Or maybe focusing on the rise and fall of your chest or your belly.
Taking these moments here to just breathe.
To thank your body for breathing.
We breathe without even recognizing all that's happening in our body.
The fact that our breath is keeping us alive.
So in the moments,
You can stop and thank your breathing for keeping you alive,
For giving you another day.
Our bodies are amazing.
They do all of these things without us even recognizing it.
And in this moment,
We can say thank you.
And we can give our bodies the attention they deserve.
Feeling our breath,
Feeling our body with all the life-giving oxygen that we need.
And in this moment,
I want you to take an extra big breath in,
In through your nose.
Hold it at the top and then breathe out slowly through your nose.
So inhale in through your nose,
Holding at the top,
Exhaling slowly through your nose.
And I'll continue with this practice for a few more breaths.
One more breath here.
As we bring this nice short practice to a close,
Take this final moment to feel your body grounding down into whatever surface is below you.
Whether it's your feet on the floor,
Your hips and legs on the ground or the seat below you,
Or your whole body laying down on the floor.
Maybe even take a moment to lay down on the floor here as we end.
That's what I'm going to do.
To take a moment and lay flat on the floor and just ground yourself into the sturdiness of the earth.
Ground yourself as a way to start or end your day.
Thank you so much for joining me for this practice.
I hope you have an amazing day.
