Hi,
I'm Nikki and I am a certified EFT practitioner.
Today I am leading you through an EFT for when you have to trust what comes next.
Use this practice when something is in motion.
But you don't yet know how it will turn out.
When you notice yourself trying to predict the future.
Rehearsing the worst case scenarios or grasping for certainty that simply is not available yet.
Take a breath.
Notice what you're worried about.
You don't have to make the fear disappear.
Before we begin.
Just notice it.
And let's begin on the karate chop point.
Even though I don't know what's going to happen.
And part of me really wants to know.
I acknowledge how I feel right now.
Even though my mind keeps trying to figure out every possible outcome.
Trying to protect me by preparing for what could go wrong.
I choose to meet myself with compassion.
Even though uncertainty makes me very uncomfortable.
I wish I could see what comes next.
That I am open to feeling safe even before I have the answer.
Take another breath and let's begin round one,
The uncertainty.
Eyebrow,
I don't know what's going to happen.
Side eye.
And my mind really doesn't like that.
Under eye,
It keeps trying to jump ahead.
Under the nose,
Trying to figure out everything.
Chin.
What if this happens?
Collarbone.
What if that happens?
Under the arm.
What if it all goes wrong?
Top of the head.
So many possible futures are running through my mind.
Take a breath.
Round two,
Fear is trying to fill in the blanks.
Eyebrow point.
Right now,
I have uncertainty.
Side of the eye.
But my mind keeps turning uncertainty into danger.
Under the eye,
Creating stories about things that haven't happened.
Undernose,
Fear is false evidence appearing real.
Chin,
My body can react to an imagined future as though it's happening right now.
Collarbone,
But it isn't happening right now.
Underarm.
Right now,
I am here.
Top of head,
And I can come back to what is actually true in this moment.
Take a breath.
Feel your feet.
Notice the room around you.
Be present.
Round three,
Releasing the outcome.
Eyebrow point.
Maybe I don't need to solve the future today.
Side of the eye.
Maybe I don't need to know how everything ends.
Under the eye.
I can care deeply without controlling the outcome.
Under the nose,
I can have hopes without gripping them.
Chin.
I can have preferences without making them conditions for my piece.
Collarbone.
I released the belief that knowing would make me safe.
Under the arm,
I release the need to mentally rehearse every possibility.
Top of the head,
I give myself permission to let the future arrive on its own time.
Take a deep breath.
And round four,
Trusting yourself,
Eyebrow point.
Whatever happens,
I will meet it when it gets here.
Side of the eye.
I don't have to handle tomorrow today.
Under the eye.
I only have to handle this moment.
Under the nose.
And when the next moment comes,
I will meet that one too.
Chin.
I trust myself to take the next best step.
Collarbones.
I have handled uncertainty many times before in my life.
Under the arm,
I don't need every answer in order to move forward.
And top of the head,
I trust myself to respond to what is real instead of reacting to what I imagine.
Take a slow inhale and a slow exhale.
Eyebrow point.
I release my attachment to knowing exactly how this turns out.
Side eye,
I make room for possibilities I haven't even imagined.
Under the eye,
Not every unknown is a threat.
Under the nose,
In fact,
Some unknowns become beautiful things.
Chin,
And some things are still unfolding.
Collarbone and I am allowing to let them unfold.
Under the arm,
Whatever comes,
I trust myself to meet it grounded,
Present,
And capable.
Top of the head,
For now I choose this moment.
Place both hands over your heart and take a full breath in and exhale it slowly.
You don't need the entire map right now.
You don't need tomorrow's answers today.
You need enough presence to recognize the next step when it appears.
There is courage in allowing something to remain unfinished.
This is freedom.
There is freedom.
So much freedom in not rehearsing pain that hasn't even happened.
And there is so much power in remembering that whatever the outcome is,
You will still be here with your breath,
With your wisdom,
And with your ability to choose and your capacity to take the next best step.
Repeat after me,
I release what I cannot know.
I trust what is unfolding.
I trust myself to meet what comes.
I return to now.
Thank you so much.
I hope that you enjoyed that.
