Take a moment to find a posture that allows you to feel relaxed and present.
Settling to your body,
Allowing everything to settle.
Sinking into your chair or cushion,
Allowing the earth to support you.
Tune in to the feeling of being physically supported.
If you notice any areas of the body holding tension,
You might invite those areas to relax just a little bit more.
Consider putting a slight grin on the face and relaxing your breath.
Can you relax your belly,
Your chest?
Can you invite spaciousness into your ribs?
Notice if the breath can comfortably become slower and more gentle.
Now,
As you inhale,
Imagine energy moving from the base of your tailbone up to the center of your brain.
As you exhale,
Imagine this same energy sinking back to the tailbone.
Allow this process to be easy and fluid.
No force is necessary.
If it is helpful,
You can imagine this energy as a color or give it a texture.
You might experience it as an energetic sensation or a physical sensation.
Follow this pattern for a few moments,
Inhaling up and exhaling down.
On the next inhalation,
Continue imagining the energy moving up into your brain.
But now,
On the exhalation,
Imagine the energy settling in the brain.
Take a moment of mindfulness to be aware of any sensations,
Images,
Or feelings that accompany this process.
Now,
Gently see if you can shift this energy into different parts of the brain.
Can you move it to the front,
Just behind your forehead?
What does that feel like?
Try shifting it to the back of the brain.
What is that like?
Now,
Imagine sending this energy to the left side of the brain.
How is this different?
And finally,
Imagine this energy moving over to the right hemisphere.
Allow the energy to rest in the right hemisphere.
Where does it naturally want to be on the right side?
In the front?
On the side by your right ear?
Toward the back corner?
Set the intention,
Or ask yourself,
To send the energy to the part of the brain on the right side that will help you connect to your intuition,
Your inner knowing.
And just notice where it goes.
Allow the energy to rest there for a few moments.
Now,
Ask yourself,
What do you need to know for today?
See if you can just listen and allow an answer to simply come to you without effort.
It may be an awareness,
An idea,
An understanding,
Or a feeling,
Emotion,
Or a body sensation.
Can you trust that whatever happens,
Whatever information you receive or don't receive is exactly what you need right now in this moment?
