This meditation incorporates music and clear guidance which leads the listener to a space of giving attention to the space behind the eyelids and quieting the mind. This practice quiets the default mode network and may be especially helpful for distancing from negative self-talk or any other unhelpful thinking.

Transcript

Find a comfortable position.

Get as relaxed as you can without falling asleep.

Allowing the body to feel completely supported.

Let go of any and all bodily tension.

Allow the tongue to relax.

Allow the eyes to relax.

And allow the brain to relax.

Allow the breathing to become slow,

Easy,

And gentle.

Now,

Draw your attention to the darkness behind your eyelids.

Allow the mind to become completely absorbed with the vast emptiness.

Continue to breathe long and slow.

If fleeting images or words move through the mind,

Simply let them move through without attachment.

Breathe into the space behind the eyes,

Allowing it to grow naturally and easily.

Rest your attention in this space.

If you feel as though you're almost there,

Leave a Definitely Someone on Law or abreakers.

Look you

Excellent - I like the feeling to be left hanging in space. Knowing I just need to open my eyes slowly to come back - back to the open external space around me

A very nice meditation but it really needs an ending, a coming back to the room. Thanks!!
