Are you comfortable in your bed?

Are you warm and cozy?

Let's go on a rainbow bedtime adventure together.

Let's explore the colors of the rainbow.

Are you ready?

This is an adventure that happens behind your closed eyelids,

In your mind.

So make sure first that you are laying down super comfortable in your bed,

Tucked in your soft blanket with the pillow in the most comfortable position.

Notice where your hands touch the blanket.

Feel where your head rests against the pillow.

Look at the darkness behind your eyelids.

And with all this beautiful comfort,

Let's breathe in together,

Slowly through your nose,

And breathe out through your mouth.

And again,

Breathe in slowly through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

One last time,

Breathe in through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

Now are you ready to explore the rainbow?

Imagine you're looking out the window on a beautiful day.

The sky is lit with light blue,

And some large fluffy clouds cover patches of sky.

The sun shines between the clouds,

And suddenly you begin to see a rainbow forming.

Its shiny colors cross the white sky from one side to the other.

Don't you want to touch those magical colors?

Well guess what,

We can!

How would you like to get closer to them?

You choose your favorite method of flying.

Here are some ideas.

You could be an astronaut and get on your spaceship and fly right up to the rainbow.

Or you could be a pilot and fly your airplane there.

You could also just jump really really high because you have superhuman jumping powers.

Or you could put on a superhero cape and fly there.

Or maybe you have a unicorn that can take you there.

These are some ideas,

Maybe you come up with something else.

Choose your favorite and let's travel right up to the rainbow.

We've arrived!

Look!

It looks like a long carpet that we can step on.

All the way to the left it starts with a stripe of shimmering red,

Next to it a stripe of sparkly orange,

Then a stripe of shiny yellow,

Next to it a stripe of bright green,

Then one in cyan which is a light blue,

Then a stripe of darker blue,

And all the way to the right a stripe of sparkly violet.

You set your feet on this long carpet.

One of your feet lands on the orange stripe and the other one on the dark blue one.

You begin to walk,

Changing the colors you step on.

You go from orange to blue to yellow to violet and you begin to hop.

Every time your foot lands on a stripe,

It flashes its color stronger for a moment.

Suddenly you get curious about what makes each stripe of color.

So you get down to get your face really close to the rainbow and you notice each stripe is made with tons and tons of tiny little things of the color itself.

You lay all the way down to look at each color.

The shimmering red is made of tiny red apples,

Little raspberries,

Miniature firefighter trucks,

Teeny weeny red balloons,

Little roses.

What else can you see that's red?

Yeah,

And tomatoes and ladybugs.

Next,

The stripe of sparkly orange is made of,

Of course,

Tiny little oranges and tangerines and pumpkins and carrots and also miniature marigold flowers and orange butterflies.

But what else?

Basketball balls,

Traffic cones,

Goldfish,

Foxes,

Butternut squashes.

There are too many orange tiny little things that make up the sparkly orange stripe of the rainbow.

Let's move on to the shiny yellow.

What tiny things make up this stripe of the rainbow?

Look up close.

What can you see?

I see teeny weeny bananas,

Tiny dandelions,

Little sunflowers,

Miniature ducklings,

Bees,

Honey,

Amber,

Yellow autumn leaves,

Mustard,

Yellow rain boots.

Anything else yellow that you see?

Next,

Let's look at the bright green stripe.

What tiny little things it's made of?

I see broccoli,

Parrots,

Grass,

Frogs,

Tiny little crocodiles,

Watermelons,

Turtles.

Oh my God,

So many green things.

I will be out of breath if I name them all.

What other green things do you see?

What a beautiful color this light green is.

Do you want to look up close at the cyan?

Now this is one bright color.

The main thing I see here are droplets of ocean water where the water is shallow,

Maybe near a coral reef.

I see droplets of daytime sky too.

Also some precious stones.

This is a very special color.

Seems like droplets of shallow ocean water and pieces of sky are enough to create this magical cyan stripe.

On to the next color,

Darker blue.

Now here we will find the droplets of deep ocean,

Of dark nighttime sky.

I see some deep blue fish,

Blueberries,

Some birds like peacocks or macaws,

Some beautiful deep blue corals,

Blue whales,

Blue grapes,

Morning glory flowers.

Anyway,

There's so many type of blue flowers it's even hard to name them all.

What else do you see that's deep blue?

We have arrived now to the last color,

Violet.

Such a beautiful and bright color.

Let's look up close.

What can we see?

I see grapes,

Purple carrots and beetroots,

Violet flowers,

Echinaceas and lavenders,

Amethyst crystals,

Figs,

Plums and elderberries,

A hummingbird,

A violet betta fish,

A butterfly.

What else do you see?

What a beautiful stripe of the rainbow.

We have now seen every stripe of the rainbow.

Are you ready to jump all the way back into your bed?

Close your eyes and keep all these colors in your mind and heart.

You jump and you fall straight into your bed with your eyes still closed so that you drift into a calm sleep and dream of bright colorful dreams.

Good night and thank you for meditating with me.
