Welcome to this meditation to do any day during your luteal phase.
The luteal phase is an extended period of time,
Lasting about 14 days or so.
There may be waves throughout,
Coming in and out,
Oscillating between calm,
Grogginess,
Slower pace,
But sometimes a bit more flow and energy to achieve things,
But still at somewhat of a calm pace.
Some days may even come with physical difficulties,
Like headaches or so.
This second half of your cycle,
You need to be extra gentle with yourself.
Listen to your body,
If it's asking to rest or take things slower.
I invite you to sit or lay down however is most comfortable for you.
Close your eyes and breathe in and out,
Slowly and with intention,
A few times at your own pace.
Pay special attention to the journey of the air that comes in through your nose,
Fills up your lungs,
Oxygenates every part of your body and then comes back out,
Turned into carbon dioxide.
If it feels good,
Place your hands on your womb.
Your body is going through its inner autumn,
So give it the warmth it wants and the coziness it needs.
Time for looking inward to begin to slow the pace down.
I invite you to do a little visualization.
Imagine yourself walking in a forest.
The leaves of the trees vary between yellows,
Reds and oranges.
The wind moves them,
Making a whooshing sound.
Some of the leaves stay on the branches,
While some fall,
Dancing slowly in the air until they reach the ground.
As you walk between trees,
You suddenly come upon a small clearing and in the middle of it,
There is a cabin made of wooden logs and stones.
There is a working chimney that releases smoke from a lit fire that warms the cabin.
You know this cabin is inviting you and you feel comfortable going in.
There is something familiar about it.
As you open its door and walk in,
You recognize all the things inside.
They are all yours.
This is your autumn cabin.
You find your most comfy pajamas and fuzzy slippers and put them on.
You make yourself a warm cup of tea and go sit on the comfy couch next to the fireplace.
The tea is made of your favorite flavor.
You smell its grounding aroma and sip it slowly,
Savoring it.
You look out the window at the restful trees.
You are calm.
Nothing is in your mind.
You are simply allowing yourself to rest.
Stay here for a while.
Know this is a place you can always come back to simply by closing your eyes and breathing mindfully.
If you'd like,
You can repeat to yourself or out loud or just listen to the following affirmations.
I honor my truth.
I set boundaries that protect my peace.
I trust the wisdom rising within me.
My inner world is my greatest source of guidance.
Keep this calm within you and come back to your present body.
Remember where you're resting,
The space around you.
Remind yourself to respect and honor your body and give it what it asks from you.
Breathe in and out slowly and with intention.
May you carry the calm and peace of your autumn cabin as you walk through your day.
Thank you for meditating with me.
