What is a moon ceremony?
A moon ceremony is as simple as acknowledging your needs at the new moon and the full moon with some kind of intention moving forward.
It's as simple as that.
It's being in a moment of pause to acknowledge where we are within the moon cycle.
It's especially useful for women because it utilises this anchor of about a 28 day cycle which is in line with our internal rhythm.
Even if your cycle is longer or shorter than 28 days even if you are in your menopause,
Paramenopause,
It allows some kind of.
.
.
Point of reference within the month,
A point of reference to slow and be embodied and be in that moment.
This is so often ignored and taken away from us in today's busy society.
So this whole uprising of a moon ceremony is simply to push back against the busy and bring forward this divine feminine,
This femininity,
This acknowledgement that we are women with more of a longer cycle than a 24 hour a day cycle that exists within our patriarchal setup.
So what could it look like for you?
Well,
A moon ceremony happens often,
But it can be whenever,
At the new moon where we set intentions and start afresh with a new cycle.
Full moon where we let go and remove something that doesn't need to be with us anymore,
That doesn't serve us anymore with an intention of doing so.
It doesn't necessarily mean that it is removed,
It's the intention of.
We can then sit in ceremony and that looks like lighting a candle,
Maybe pulling an oracle card and I have a video on this.
It may be simply being in meditation,
It may be going on a walk,
It may be listening to your favorite personal insight timer.
Giving yourself this time and space to be in intention,
Giving yourself this time and space to acknowledge that there is a larger cosmic world at play and just pausing for a moment is a push back at the cycles that exist within today's system.
When you mark something with a ceremony,
You're saying this matters to me and I matter.
Is exactly what a ceremony is.
It's more than just a tick box,
It's more than just something that you do,
It's a real time and space moment just to be,
Just to acknowledge where you are and that it's for you and you only.
If you're curious,
The simplest way to start with moon ceremonies is to be with a new moon,
Be with a full moon,
Light a candle and simply ask yourself,
What do I need right now?
Pause and just listen to whatever might arrive,
Maybe nothing,
But simply being in that moment is sacred.
And so so worth it.
You might be surprised with the answers that come.
Sending love.
