Injury And Discomfort Body Wisdom Meditation
Our bodies are wise and constantly communicating with us. This is a guided meditation practice to help us tune in to our bodies and specifically ask what wisdom there is in the aches, pains and discomforts we are experiencing. I would love to hear from you as to what your bodies were telling you.

Hello,
Nancy here from Nancy Inspired and thank you for joining me for this little meditation.
This meditation is about connecting with our bodies and the aches and pains or illnesses that we are experiencing and connecting to what the messages in them might be because when things happen to us sometimes there's an underlying message as to what needs to happen.
So for example in 2013 I was really busy.
I was doing my master's degree,
Raising my children,
Working full-time and I remember saying I just need a break,
I just need a break and sure enough a bit of freezing rain and down I went and I broke my ankle in three places and I realized that I was subconsciously saying I needed a break,
I needed a break and I got a break which you know as much as that wasn't fun it did give me some time to focus on the paper I had to write for my master's because I was given some time off work and even recently maybe a little more esoterically I had a hamstring injury and just before I got the hamstring injury I was heading in a particular direction.
I was heading a direction in leadership.
I was deciding to put my name in to go further into leadership and then I was literally stopped in my tracks with a hamstring injury that made me have to forced to take time off work which at first I wasn't happy with but then in that time off I realized that pursuing that level of leadership was actually not in my best interest,
That I was enjoying the leadership I was experiencing but what I really wanted to do was some of the other things the work I do with Natsy Inspired and some of the work I do in other areas and so by having it literally stopped me in my tracks I was able to focus and reframe and as much as it wasn't the greatest most pleasant experience it did offer me some gifts in terms of perspective.
So this little meditation that we're going to do together right now is for understanding what's going on in your body,
What is the message that your body is trying to tell you,
What is the message in this injury or pain or discomfort that you're feeling.
So stop what you're doing,
Let's get yourself comfortable,
You can be sitting,
You can be laying down,
You can even be standing if that's more comfortable but we're going to close our eyes and we're going to center into our bodies.
So we're going to start by taking some deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Just let that breath settle into our body for a moment and let's flood our systems again with another deep breath and out through the mouth and feel as you take those breaths your body connecting and releasing and relaxing as you give it permission to go inside and pay attention.
One more deep breath in.
Now we're going to take a minute to just do a general scan of our bodies and invite the divine white light to enter our bodies and connect with our spirits.
So we're going to take some breaths at our own pace.
We're going to start with a white light as it comes over our heads and enters our forehead,
Our ears,
Our eyes,
Our nose,
Our mouth,
Our cheeks.
We feel all our muscles relax and we just take stock.
How is our head feeling?
My thoughts running away with me,
Headache,
Am I tired?
How do my eyes feel?
Just take a moment to take stock of your head,
Parts of your head,
Your ears,
Your eyes,
Your nose,
Your mouth,
Your teeth,
The muscles around your eyes,
Your forehead,
Your scalp.
Then as we take another breath in we're going to allow that white light to travel down onto our neck and our chest.
Let's just take a moment to take stock.
How does our throat feel?
How does our jaw feel?
How does our neck feel?
How does our upper back feel?
How do our shoulders feel?
Are we carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders?
Do we have tension?
If you feel any tension or discomfort,
We're just going to breathe into those spaces.
Allow the white light to filter in and energy to take over those spaces and help them to relax and let go.
As we take another breath in,
We're going to bring that light a little further down.
We're going to travel down into our arms,
Upper chest.
Just take a moment to allow that light to filter in and feel what your hands feel like.
Are they sore?
What do your joints feel like?
What do your wrists feel like?
Your arms,
All the muscles,
So many muscles in our arms and into our chest.
What does our heart feel like?
What is our emotional state right now?
Let's just give space.
We're just allowing our bodies to talk to us and we say,
I hear you.
I hear you.
I see you.
We're going to take a breath and filter in that white light into all those spaces,
Especially if there's any spaces that are holding tension.
We're going to allow this divine white light to move down into our stomachs and our hips,
Our lower backs.
We're just going to pay attention to what our stomach is telling us.
Are we holding onto some things?
Are we fearful?
Are we anxious?
Our lower back,
Are we carrying burdens that we don't need to carry?
We're just going to take some stock into our hips.
Are there some fears there?
Are there some aches and pains?
We're just going to take some breaths and we're going to invite the divine warm white light to release the aches and pains that we might be feeling,
The tensions and stresses,
The anxieties we might be feeling.
And we just ask permission to just release just for this moment in time.
You can even say in your mind's eye,
I hear you.
I'll come back to you.
I'll listen to you.
And right now,
As we take a breath in,
Allow that white light to filter in and ease any discomfort.
Now,
As we take another breath in,
We're going to move down into our legs.
We're going to feel our knees,
All the big muscles in our upper legs,
And the muscles in our lower legs.
We're going to thank our legs for carrying us from place to place.
And we're going to notice any aches and pains.
Is there a difference between our right side and our left side?
Is there an imbalance between how we give and how we receive?
And we're just going to acknowledge with gratitude.
And if there are some aches and pains,
We're just going to say,
I see you.
I hear you.
I'm listening.
And we're going to invite that divine,
White,
Beautiful light,
That warmth to seep in.
Just relax and ease our legs.
Then we're going to take another breath in and we're going to focus on our feet.
And again,
We're going to thank our feet for helping us stay rooted and grounded in place.
And take notice of all the little bones,
All the muscles in our feet.
And if there's any aches and pains in your feet,
Just politely say,
I see you.
I hear you.
I'm listening.
And breathe in that beautiful,
White light into your feet.
Gratitude for all they do.
We're just going to take a moment to just think with gratitude on your body and all the amazing things that it does for you.
And at any given moment,
There is a multitude of systems that are miraculously working together to make things happen.
At this point,
We're going to take a moment to center in on one area that you're curious about.
And we're going to get curious about that area and ask,
What is happening here?
What is the message?
So just focus on the area that you want to have more information on.
Whatever area is causing you some stress,
Some discomfort,
Some pain.
And we're just going to observe for a moment.
Observe all the sensations.
I'm going to be quiet for a moment.
And we're going to observe the sensations.
And anything that comes up,
If it's a color or a sound or a shape or a feeling or a memory or a thought,
We're not going to discriminate.
We're just going to receive with gratitude.
Focus in on the area that's causing you discomfort and just allow any messages to come.
And if nothing is coming,
Just ask,
What do you want to tell me?
I see you.
I hear you.
I'm listening.
And focus your energy on the area of discomfort and ask,
What do you want to tell me?
I'll be quiet for a moment as you focus in.
If you get distracted,
Again,
Just ask,
What do you want to tell me?
I see you.
I hear you.
I'm listening.
Now we're going to breathe in gratitude for any of the messages that came.
If you feel like there's more messages to come,
You can continue to ask on a regular basis,
What are you trying to tell me?
Or you can extend this meditation.
But we're just going to say,
With gratitude,
Thank you for the messages.
Thank you.
I'm listening.
I hear you.
I see you.
I'm listening.
And we're going to commit to internalizing these messages and taking the actions we're being encouraged to take.
Make the changes we're being encouraged to make,
Set the boundaries we're encouraged to set,
With gratitude for the messages of our bodies.
We're going to take a deep breath in and we're going to acknowledge that our bodies are beautiful,
Amazing,
Miraculous machines that are constantly communicating with us.
Put a smile on your face.
Allow the smile to grin from ear to ear with that love and bliss and joy for your divine body.
Your toes,
Look at your fingers and slowly open your eyes.
Now take a moment to just reflect on any messaging you received.
Is there any action you might need to take?
Is there any thoughts you need to change?
Any boundaries you need to set?
And if you didn't hear anything,
You're welcome to keep asking.
Sometimes it's hard to hear.
Our bodies can be subtle.
The pain can be loud and the bodies can be subtle.
Take your time to listen.
You have a miraculous machine working for you,
Because you are a miraculous being.
I hope you have a spectacular rest of your day.

Thankyou, Nancyππ»ππ»ππ»That was really a helpful scan. I had been having certain sensations for a week, done all kind of things, there didnβt seem tobe improvement. I saw your meditation yesterday, and marked it. Did have a βtalkβ with my body yesterday, got some useful info, then something happened yesterday afternoon that created a shift and, it definitely had an impact on my body as well. This morning, I saw your meditation under βListen laterβ, and I pressed the button, and I LOVE(D) your approach. Will keep this for future use.ππ»πππππππ»

The meditation was really good. But the sound level was a little off. It was hard to hear Nancy and the music in the background was louder than she was.

My body i believe to be saying: Slow down, listen to me. Don't create stress where there is none. My body breaks on its own timeline, stop trying to force the pieces process and have faith it'll come in time.
