This next technique is called progressive muscle relaxation and this is a very well known technique and I use it myself as well as with people that I work with daily.

This is such an amazing tool because it really allows your body and your muscles to let go of all of the extra built up stress in the muscles,

In the joints.

Sometimes we don't realise how much we're holding onto until we hold onto it tighter than ever and then fully let it go.

So this is another great physical tool.

So I invite you to breathe all the way in through the nose and tighten everything up,

Starting with your feet,

Toes,

Holding your breath as you breathe in,

Breathe in,

Hold your breath and tighten everything,

The eyes,

The jaw,

Everything,

Everything,

Everything that you can imagine squeezing,

Your buttocks,

Your lips,

Your fingers,

Your toes,

Your thighs.

If you could squeeze the hair follicles,

You would squeeze the hair follicles,

You hold for a count of five,

Even more if you like and then when you're ready,

Just let go and breathe out through your mouth.

If at any point you've been holding your breath for too long,

Then hold it for a shorter amount of time.

Go ahead,

Let's do this again.

So we're breathing in and as we breathe in and holding our breath for a count of five,

Six,

Seven or eight seconds,

Whatever you're comfortable with,

Tensing everything,

Every little thing that you can think of,

Even the tension of the joints,

Knees,

Elbows,

Muscles,

Thighs,

Buttocks,

Hands,

Neck,

Jaw,

Glutes,

Thighs,

Everything,

Everything,

Everything.

And on the out breath,

Through the mouth,

Just let it all go.

It feels so good to let it go.

Now I like to use a little variation of this technique and it's by using the power of intention.

So with intention,

We're going to bring to mind whatever in our life is causing our stress at the moment or whatever is stressful.

So whether it's money or family or relationships or something that you're worrying about or have no solution for or procrastinating,

It doesn't really matter what it is.

Bring that into mind and whatever contributing factors might be at play,

Go ahead,

Whatever you are aware and unaware of with your intention,

Bring it into mind and breathe in and squeeze those parts of your body that we squeezed before.

Go ahead.

Everything is so tight.

Even your jaw,

Teeth,

Hair,

Eyes,

Lips,

Nose,

If you can,

Toes,

Glutes,

Thighs,

Everything is squeezing,

Squeezing,

Squeezing along with whatever contributes to the tension in your life and whatever is intention in your life at the moment.

So go ahead.

Breathing in and squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze and when you're ready,

Let it all go.

And just feel all that tension release.

You can go ahead and do that one more time if there's anything that we missed,

Anything that's still floating around,

Go ahead and bring it in and squeeze and with that thing that's causing you stress right now,

Go ahead,

Go ahead and squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze everything,

Everything,

Everything and with the last very letting go,

We're going to let go of the last little dribs and drabs of whatever is contributing to that in our lives and out you go.

That's awesome,

Well done.

You can pause if you'd like to practice that a little more on your own or we can go onto the next technique.
