Hello and thank you for joining me for this gratitude meditation.

Now will be a good time for you to find yourself in a comfortable seat or if you've just woken up perhaps you'd like to stay laying down.

Wherever you find yourself starting to settle into your own body,

Starting to connect with your natural breath.

Meditation is simply just mindfulness,

Becoming aware of sensations,

Becoming aware of your senses,

Sounds,

Smells,

Feelings.

Continuing to find that natural rhythm without putting too much effort into lengthening the breath,

Making sure the belly is nice and soft,

The shoulders are relaxed,

The jaw,

The eyes and the eye sockets soften.

Even the hair follicles on the top of your head,

Seeing if you can relax the scalp.

Everything feels beautiful and soft,

Like oozing honey.

And then bringing to your mind's eye something that you're truly grateful for.

This could be a person in your life,

A place,

An object of affection,

Maybe it's a beloved pet.

Whatever it is for you today bring that into the mind's eye,

Really visualizing this thing,

Seeing the shapes and the colors,

The form.

Then seeing how you feel about this thing,

Maybe even bringing a small smile to your lips as you start to expand this gratitude.

Continuing to feel in little details of this object,

This person,

This place.

And starting to bring the breath into the heart,

As you visualize this thing breathing into the heart,

Maybe you visualize some warmth or light,

Golden or white around this area.

The heart is connected to our sense of love and gratitude.

So allow yourself to feel that breathing in deeply,

Continuing to feel that softness in the body and that joy and love in your heart.

This gratitude continues to expand,

Intensify.

Bring yourself back to visualizing this thing,

Seeing if you can feel in even more detail,

Even more feeling,

Even more love.

This love and gratitude becomes so strong,

So powerful,

It starts to spread from the heart all through the different cells of the body,

Lighting them up,

Giving them energy.

Gratitude is found in the present moment and here you are right now,

Grateful.

Gratitude is something you can hang on to any time of the day,

Something to ground you.

Continuing to feel this beautiful pulsing energy through your whole body,

Maybe making that smile on your lips even bigger,

Taking three deeper breaths here,

Allowing the whole body to breathe.

And then when you're ready,

Keeping this beautiful golden warm glow can start to open your eyes,

Move your body in any way that feels good and take this gratitude into your heart through your day,

Knowing you can tap into it whenever you want.

You can simply close your eyes,

Take three breaths into your heart and bring that beautiful image back into the mind.

Thank you so much for joining me,

I hope you have a beautiful day.

Thank you for offering this. I found the teacher’s voice gentle. I liked bringing the gratitude into my heart and visualizing it as a white light and then sending that light through my body. 💛
