Find that peaceful spot and lay down.
Take a long,
Deep breath,
Closing your eyes when you're ready.
Settle back,
Relax.
Start to find that body and breath connection.
Let it flow.
Take notice of the air entering on your inhale.
It's slow departure as it exits.
Just breathe.
Be in this moment,
Right here,
Right now.
If any outside thoughts pop up,
Just give them notice and let them go.
Always coming back to your breath.
Sink back,
Connecting into the surface below you,
Feeling supported.
Let your mind roam.
Let it travel,
Settling into a large,
Lush field where you feel safe and supported.
See the glow of the setting sun,
A soft peach in color.
Take in a breath or two,
Settling back,
Relaxed.
Notice the wildflowers,
Their scent of freshness.
You see a tree you hadn't noticed before,
Strong,
Sheltering,
And well-rooted,
Almost wise.
Wander towards it and place your hands on the rough bark.
Relax and have a seat under its branches,
Resting your back against its trunk.
Coming back,
Molding into the tree,
Breathing,
Flowing with breath.
The glow from the sun falls upon your skin.
Breathe in its light,
Letting out a sigh.
Just breathe.
The light softly glows all over your scalp,
Releasing any tension.
Just letting it all melt away,
Washing any negative thoughts away as well.
The glowing light begins to slowly travel down your body.
Feel the tightness in your jaw letting go,
Releasing,
Relaxing.
Your shoulders sink and soften.
Feel them.
Notice your arms resting down,
Long,
However they may lie.
Let the relaxation move down both arms,
Traveling all the way to your hands.
Relax back with your breath,
Just breathing.
Feel the warmth of the sunny glow.
Let it warm your heart and soothe your breath.
Move the light in and out slowly.
Allow this glow to move through the belly.
Let it rest,
Moving through the hips,
Down both legs,
Past the ankles and to the feet.
Let yourself sink back fully,
Releasing,
Relaxing.
Continue absorbing the warmth of the light,
Enjoying full,
Rhythmic breaths.
Find your relaxed flow.
Release anything you feel may still be stuck within.
Let one or two good exhale breaths go.
Unstick the stuck.
Relax into your breath flow once again.
Just breathe.
As you lounge with your breath,
Notice the sun glow moving away,
Farther,
The sky darkening,
But only darkening to where you are comfortable with the darkness.
Maybe add in some sweet,
Twinkling stars.
See them twinkle above,
Peeking through the branches.
Just rest back and feel the bark.
Just breathe.
Hold this image,
Painting it with your mind's eye.
What part feels most special,
Most grounding,
Most comfortable?
Focus on this part,
Letting it relax you,
And breathe.
Come back to the field of wildflowers.
Slowly let the colors of the petals blend,
Melding into one another.
Connect back into the true surface beneath you.
Come back to the here,
The now.
Sink back,
Relax with your breaths,
Flowing,
Floating.
Slowly move to awake and refreshed,
Or sink back deeper,
Relaxed deeper at the bottom of each exhale breath.
Just breathe,
And let sleep find you.
Good night.
