Settle into a comfortable,
Quiet spot.
Maybe settling onto the earth or finding a nice seat resting your feet on the ground.
Let your hands rest in your lap.
Shift your shoulders.
Wiggle.
Lengthen the spine.
Shoulder blades relaxed down.
Listen to the eyes and find a breath to begin connecting with.
Slowly breathe in.
Give a slight pause and slowly release the breath.
Letting go.
Another slight pause.
Find your flow.
Just breathing with awareness.
Feel that extra bit of release.
Relaxation at the end of each exhale.
Find that slight pause in the breath and holding it for just a moment.
The mind free of all but the breath.
The breath slowly flowing in and out.
Become aware of the top of your head,
Each hair follicle.
Just imagine that above your head is a warm pitcher with flowing liquid,
Flowing water or maybe something thick like sweet amber honey.
It runs down over the top of your head,
Trickling over the forehead.
Feel your eyes relaxing.
It continues to move over your face,
Cheeks,
Lips,
Jaw,
Releasing tension as it drips lower.
Let the tongue fall away from the roof of your mouth.
The flowing honey moves down over the back of your neck,
Your shoulders,
Warm and comforting.
Feel them settle back deeper into the surface of where you're resting.
Breathe.
Hear that drone in the music just drawing you in,
Mesmerizing.
Breathing at ease,
Peaceful,
Cozy.
Notice your arms in your lap or by your sides.
Enjoy them being still,
Not moving.
Feel that warmth moving through them.
Become aware of your mind,
Relaxing.
Your thoughts seem weightless.
The belly softens.
The warm honey having traveled down to your hips,
Soothing,
Massaging.
Feel your body feasting on the warmth,
Soaking it in.
Notice your belly and chest rise with each inhale,
Resting with each exhale.
Notice your back as it becomes toasty warm.
Let all tensions go streaming away off of your body.
Let it continue down past the bum.
Relax.
Enjoy as it slides down the legs,
Trickling slowly past the thighs,
Curving over the knees,
Moving warmly,
The body softening by releasing all tension.
The honey liquid flows down your shins,
Your calves,
Washing away all tightness.
On an exhale,
Notice and relax both ankles.
Maybe your toes are already relaxed.
Let them rest,
Just tipping outward.
Notice the peaceful sensation,
Relaxing the body,
The breaths flowing,
The rhythm,
Soothing,
Just breathing.
Lastly,
The warmth moves over your feet.
Release any pain.
Feel the calm and peacefulness filling your body.
Let your breath continue to flow.
Become aware of your arms and legs getting lightly fuzzy or hazy around the edges.
Notice your body sinking and melting into your comfortable spot.
Feel as your body relaxes even more.
Your mind is calm,
Centered,
Open,
Relaxed.
Chair knees.
Become aware of your surroundings.
Hear your breathing.
Hear the sounds in the room.
Hear any sounds off in the distance.
Relax and breathe.
Slowly wiggle your toes.
Rub your finger pads together.
Gently move your wrists and ankles.
Just little motions.
Softly roll your head from side to side.
Feel your shoulders.
Gently roll your ears from shoulder to shoulder.
Pause and breathe a moment.
Just resting.
Softly open your eyes when ready.
Your back refreshed.
Having taken just a moment for yourself.
Ready to tackle the rest of your day.
Relaxed and connected both mind and body.
Breathe and make the most of the rest of your day.
