Make yourself comfortable.
Relax back,
Resting.
Let your body sink back into the surface you're resting on.
Become still,
Relaxed,
Calm.
Find your breath and enjoy a full exhale,
Slow,
Releasing,
Letting the tension fall off of you.
Take another slow breath and let any thoughts that pop into your mind go,
Just giving them a moment of acknowledgement and letting them drift away.
Take another slow,
Deep breath,
Exhale and know all is well.
Be here,
Now,
In this moment with your breath.
Find the music and connect with your breath,
Settling back,
Resting in your body,
Just breathing.
Imagine you have stepped out of the trees.
It's warm,
Sunny,
Comfortable.
You see a creek running along,
Trailing by,
Just in front of you.
The trickle of water running over the rocks makes an enjoyable bubbling noise.
Breathe,
Feeling that extra bit of relaxation with each exhale.
Feel the slight breeze brush past your cheeks and skin.
You watch the water running downstream,
Skipping over rocks,
Meandering along.
Small leaves float by,
Passing along on their journey,
Flowing like small boats sailing on their way.
Sitting down at the river's edge,
You sink into the moss.
It's soft,
Yet cool,
Squishy,
Thick,
Yet yielding,
Fluffy.
Breathe in,
Smelling the damp earth.
The sun makes blotchy patterns all around you as it filters through the tree leaves designing on the forest floor.
Playful patterns catch your attention in the shadows for just a moment.
Warmth blankets you from the sun's rays,
Sifting between the tree's leaves,
Making you feel at peace,
At home.
The crisp smell of pine needles mixing with the grass make for a pleasant,
Sweet aroma.
Birds settle from flight all around on trees,
On rocks,
Looking for water bugs and grub.
They hop around you on the ground,
Sorting through twigs and leaves,
Hunting and gathering.
They sing their songs,
Serenading all within earshot.
The carefree songs penetrate your thoughts,
Bringing you back to your resting,
Relaxed self.
The sensation of peace and contentment start to move through your body,
Flowing,
Warming you as it flows,
Releasing any tension it finds.
Your toes,
Ankles and legs rest long relaxed.
The hips rest open,
Unclosed.
The belly softening.
The ribs taking a time out to relax back.
The collarbones bow wide,
Enjoy the openness in the front of your body.
Ease the shoulders back and let the tongue fall from the roof of your mouth.
Your jaw slackens,
The cheeks soften and any furrows in the brow relax.
Bring your focus back to your breath.
Nice,
Long,
Slow inhales and exhales.
Add a mini pause at the top and bottom of each breath,
Holding just for a moment.
Find your pace,
Your comfortable flow.
Your breath flows much like the water in the creek,
Moving through your body to a peaceful,
Relaxing rhythm that is just yours.
Enjoy how your body feels now,
Here in this moment of time.
Lay back,
Eyes closed,
Finding your breath,
Hearing the brook,
The birds,
Just relaxing back and breathing.
At ease.
Breathing deeper with the breath,
Relaxing back.
Um.
Just listen to the rhythm of your breath.
Let it go.
Listen here as long as you like.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Relaxed.
Refreshed and alert.
Just remember to always pause and take a break and connect with your breath.
And breathe.
