Welcome to this guided meditation that helps you explore the feeling of safety.

Safety is a fundamental need that we all share.

Sometimes,

We feel safe when our surroundings are calm and stable.

Other times,

This feeling comes from within,

Through trust and inner balance.

This meditation helps you become aware of safety and anchor it within yourself.

When you learn to consciously create this feeling,

It can support you in challenging moments,

Helping you stay calm and composed.

Find a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down.

Take your time to settle in until you feel comfortable and supported.

Allow yourself to simply be here for a moment.

Feel how your body is carried by the surface beneath you.

Then turn your attention to the space around you.

Look around slowly,

Consciously.

Observe the shapes,

Colors and lighting conditions.

Then,

Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze if that feels good to you.

Listen to the sounds around you,

Nearby or distant,

Or perhaps even silence.

Let everything be as it is,

Without judgment.

Now turn your attention inward.

Feel your breath just as it is right now.

There is nothing to do,

Nothing to change,

Just observe.

Now imagine yourself in a place that feels safe and secure to you.

This could be a real place,

Perhaps a room you know or a spot in nature.

Or it could be an inner space that you create for yourself.

Let this place form in your mind and look around.

What colors do you see?

How is the light?

What sounds can you hear?

Maybe it is quiet or there are soft soothing sounds.

How does it feel to be in this place?

Is there something you can touch?

Maybe the warmth of the sun on your skin,

The support of a soft cushion or the fresh scent of the air.

Let this feeling of safety spread through your entire body.

Feel how your breath flows calmly,

How your body relaxes.

Notice how your body responds to this imagination.

Is there a place where you feel safety the most?

Perhaps in your chest,

Your belly or through the contact with the ground beneath you.

If you like,

Gently place a hand on your heart or your belly.

Feel the connection to yourself.

Allow yourself to anchor this feeling.

Maybe you want to say to yourself,

I am here.

I am safe.

Silently repeat these words within yourself and notice how the feeling of safety deepens.

I am here.

I am safe.

I am here.

I am safe.

I am here.

I am safe.

I am here.

I am here.

I am safe.

Take a deeper breath and feel how fresh energy flows through your body.

Slowly bring your awareness back to the room.

Notice the sounds around you.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Before you open your eyes,

Remember this feeling of safety is within you.

You can always reconnect with it whenever you need.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Take a moment to sense how you feel right now and then return to your day.

Namaste.
