So,
This practice is really good for those that struggle with mental or emotional boundaries.
So if you struggle with always taking on the emotions of others,
Thoughts of others,
And struggle to stick with your own thoughts,
Beliefs,
And feelings,
This is a good one that you can practice anytime,
Anywhere,
But you can do it now just to get a feel or a taste of it.
So finding a comfortable sitting position,
Or you can do this lying down also,
So just finding that comfortable position for you that allows you to stay awake and alert,
But also comfortable.
And if you're comfortable,
Closing your eyes,
Close your eyes,
If not,
Just gazing at a fixed point in the distance,
Or if you have a candle,
Gazing at a candle,
And scanning through your body and just inviting the body to relax,
To let go of any unnecessary holding,
Unnecessary tension.
So maybe starting at the forehead,
Softening the forehead,
The eyes,
Softening the cheeks,
The jaw,
Maybe swallowing once and softening the throat,
Shoulders melting away from the ears,
The chest softened to open,
Shoulders soft,
Arms and hands soft,
Belly soft,
Responding to the body breathing,
And the legs and the feet,
And connecting with the experience of breathing,
That rhythmic presence of the breath,
And connecting with your heart,
With the space around your heart.
You can't feel it,
Just visualizing it in your mind,
In your heart,
In your chest,
Or you can place a hand over your heart on your chest,
If that helps to connect.
And just tuning in with the space around your heart,
Inviting it to soften,
To open,
Connecting with your center,
With you,
Connecting with your belly as well,
Again if it helps to visualize it or place another hand on the belly,
Just connecting with that soft belly,
Gentle belly,
Tender belly,
Connecting with this inner space in your core,
In your center,
Connecting what is truly you,
Your body,
Your breathing,
This is you.
And then visualizing a light at your center,
So it might be in your heart,
It might be in your belly,
It might just be somewhere in your torso,
Just visualizing a light in your center,
Maybe you're giving it a color,
If that helps,
It might just be white or it might have a color,
It might be rainbow,
Rainbow light,
Just giving this light in your core and imagining it radiating out to fill all your body,
So your whole body is filled with this light,
This color,
All the way to your toes and your fingertips,
Up into the crown of the head,
Just filling,
Filling your body with this light and this light,
This light is your essence,
It's you,
It's what makes you you,
And this essence is contained by the boundary of your skin,
And as you feed,
Feed your essence,
Feed this light with you,
The light starts to reach out beyond your body,
Pushing this barrier of your skin,
Pushing it outwards,
And everything that this light touches gets pushed further and further away,
So if there are other people's thoughts or emotions,
They're pushed further away by this light and everything that this light touches gets pushed away from you and is no longer yours,
So this light is almost serving to dissipate other people's thoughts or other people's emotions,
Other people's energies that might be surrounding you,
Just visualizing this light radiating out of your core and pushing,
Pushing away everything that isn't yours,
That's not you,
So you're now maybe surrounded by a ball of light,
Immersed in this ball of light and color,
And maybe you want to extend the ball of light to a meter,
Two meters,
Three meters,
However far around you that makes you feel that you're safe and comfortable and that your space won't be invaded or crossed by other people,
Just blowing that ball of light out so that it makes you feel safe,
Once it has reached that level where you feel safe and comfortable and distance enough from other people,
Other people's thoughts,
Other people's emotions,
Visualizing it almost at the edge of the ball of life,
Becoming crystal-like or glass-like,
Just solidifying around the edge of this ball of light,
This impenetrable barrier that protects you and stops you from absorbing the thoughts and feelings and emotions of others,
That allows you to stay true to you,
To stay connected with you and what's important to you,
Staying with the body,
Staying with the breath,
Staying with your essence,
What's true to you,
Your light,
Your voice,
And allowing that the light that radiates out for me to push away all all the noise,
Everything that isn't yours,
You're protected by this ball of light,
By the glass that surrounds it,
Which allows you time to connect with you,
Your body,
Your breath,
And what's true to you,
Noticing the body breathing,
And noticing how your body feels,
Physically,
Emotionally,
And then you can stay here longer if you wish,
Otherwise when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and coming back to your surroundings.
