Simple Meditation To Balance Male And Female Energies

A beginner-friendly body-focused meditation to help bring the male and female energies into balance. The left side is the female side and the right side is the masculine and bringing these two aspects of our being into harmony can often be grounding and stress relieving.

Hi,

This is Akasha,

And today I want to share with you a meditation to balance the male and female energies in the body.

There's so much talk these days about masculine and feminine energies,

And I believe that most of it is true.

A lot of it that is going on is in fact true.

But when we're dominated by our male side,

Which is that over-rational or not showing our feelings or very stoic side,

Then our feminine side,

Which is the deeper creative or receptive energies,

Can become kind of stifled.

Also,

Maybe even explosive when finally allowed to surface.

So if we can find a place in our life where these energies can twine together in a harmonious way,

Then what happens is we can subsequently live in a passionate state from a place of stability.

And this is a gift when it comes to having the life that you truly want,

Because what starts to happen is you realize the life you have is the one you truly want.

And you have the ability to affect any and all changes that you desire by tapping into the harmonious nature of these energies within you.

So we really want to think about how we can be deeply guided by the feminine and have this intuition that is always brought to the surface,

And how we can tap into those masculine energies to manifest and create the construct of where that creativity drops in and coalesces,

So to speak.

So I really want you to feel into this experience that you'll have with me today.

So find yourself a comfortable seat.

And remember when we meditate together,

You can always do this reclining in a chair or your back to a wall so that you're not distracted by the body.

And take a deep breath in through the nose,

Releasing sigh out of the mouth.

Again,

Deep breath in through the nose,

Releasing sigh out of the mouth.

Just begin to breathe in and out through the nasal passages.

Notice if there are any adjustments to your seat.

Take the next three breaths to make those adjustments now.

Eyes are closed.

We'll start with the left palm open on top of the thigh,

And the right hand will just be down and relaxed.

Send all of your awareness to this left hand,

The palm,

Fingers.

Just breathing in and out,

Feeling everything you can about this left hand.

Perhaps you're feeling the nerves,

Blood flow.

But be here meditating how complete this hand is all by itself.

If you find the mind wandering,

Just bring it back to the open palm of the left hand and all the sensations of completeness of just this one hand.

You'll be here just a little bit longer.

Through the course of the next few breaths,

Flip the left palm down and flip the right palm up.

Now meditate on all that the right hand contains and how complete it is unto itself.

Natural breath,

Jaw relaxed,

Shoulders soft,

Meditating on the right hand.

Again,

If you find the mind is distracted,

Come back to the palm of the right hand.

Breathing and being with how complete this right hand is unto itself.

You'll be here just a little while longer.

Meditating on the right hand.

Now simply breathe deeply and slowly bring both of your hands together in front of your heart.

And here meditate on how much is possible when both completenesses work together.

Feel the sensation of the palms resting against one another.

The full connection in the heart space.

Meditating on how these two individual aspects when together are capable of so much more.

Take a deep,

Full breath in through the nose,

Releasing sigh out of the mouth.

And more like this,

Deep,

Full breath in through the nose,

Releasing sigh out of the mouth.

Can slowly allow the eyes to open.

And I'll leave you with this thought today.

Just as two hands cup water and bring it to our mouth,

We need both male and female energies to drink fully of this life in this experience.
