Welcome to practice.
My name is Neil Seligman,
Founder of The Conscious Professional.
Thank you for joining me today for this guided mindfulness meditation exploring heartfulness in action.
Begin by finding a comfortable posture and by bringing your awareness to the breath.
Take a few moments to let yourself arrive and allow the breath to draw you gently into internal awareness.
Allow the gaze to soften and if appropriate for your circumstances,
The eyes to close.
Breathing the breath discovering and remembering the breath in the body.
The inhale,
The exhale.
Finding your own doorway into practice today.
Noticing the rhythm of your breath with curiosity.
Embracing the breath with love.
Finding yourself in the body,
Feet on the floor.
Body parts in contact with body parts and furniture and ground.
Sensing warmth,
Fabric,
Furniture,
The floor.
Landing in each moment a new arrival.
The breath,
The body,
The mind.
Tending to yourself with compassion.
And breathing if it feels comfortable to the heart.
Holding the heart in awareness and if it helps placing one or both hands on the heart.
Feeling the powerhouse of love,
Compassion,
Connection,
Wisdom.
And including it in our practice.
If it feels okay bringing to mind a loved one.
Someone perhaps that you have a simple and pure relationship with.
And if these phrases resonate,
Offering these phrases or your own phrases or no phrases at all to that friend,
To that loved one.
May you be loved.
May you know peace.
May you be happy.
May you be free.
And just allowing yourself to visualize that person in front of you.
Feel that connection,
Perhaps the flow of loving energy between the two of you back and forth.
Feeling the gift of that relationship.
Next,
Holding yourself in your own awareness if that feels okay.
And offering yourself the same phrases or your own or no phrases at all.
May I be loved.
May I know peace.
May I be happy.
May I be free.
Just noticing whether this part of the practice feels easeful or challenging or a mix of the two.
Allowing it to be just as it is.
Practicing with acceptance,
Generosity and curiosity.
What's here for you today?
Opening up the practice to include your community.
Just imagining the circle of practice widening now as we hold in awareness the community of people which we form a part.
And once again offering these phrases,
Your own or no phrases at all.
As you connect with heartfulness with your community.
May you be loved.
May you know peace.
May you be happy.
May you be free.
Opening our practice further to include our world.
All beings on planet Earth and planet Earth itself.
And sometimes the easiest way of including the Earth and its beings in our practice is just to visualize the Earth in front of us and to share the vibration of loving compassion towards this visualized planet.
May we be loved.
May we know peace.
May we be happy.
May we be free.
And as we practice just tuning into the practice of others.
Knowing that as we send out with intention our vibration of care and love,
Connection.
That we're also included in the thoughts and practices of others all around the world.
So just feeling the exponential resonance of the combination of these practices interacting.
Allowing that vibration of love and care to reach you today,
Your heart,
Your body,
Your mind,
Your spirit,
Your being,
Your breath.
Perhaps reflecting here on the question,
How could you bring more heartfulness into your life?
Perhaps even setting an intention to emerge from this practice with a new idea,
A new action.
And as we begin to draw the threads of our heartfulness practice together.
Returning to the sensations of sitting.
Opening to the sounds in the room around you.
Imagining the visuals of the room and in your very own time allowing the eyes to reopen.
