These are short, quick mindfulness exercises for teachers, parents and children to get a taste of what it feels like to commit to the self-care practice of mindfulness every day for 28 days.

Welcome to day 10 of your mindfulness challenge.

Today we're gonna let our spine move us.

You may wanna close your eyes for this one.

So as you're sitting here,

Just start to sway your body very slowly side to side,

Just like you're a tree trunk getting swayed by the wind.

You may wanna take your sway just a little bit bigger.

Maybe your sway goes front to back.

What does that feel like?

Maybe your sway goes a little bit in a circle.

If you're going in a circle,

Take your sway in the other direction of your circle,

Just moving in whatever way feels good for you as the wind moves you.

Come back to stillness in the middle.

Place a hand on your belly,

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Very nice.
