Sit tall and proud of who you are.

Let's begin by taking a deep breath in through our nose.

Pause when you get to the top.

Then breathe out as if you're softly blowing on a candle flame.

Let's do that one more time.

Breathe in,

Pause and breathe out.

Now close your eyes or feel free to take your gaze down to your lap.

Let's notice the sounds in the room.

Are there many or just a few?

See if you can focus on just one sound.

What do you notice?

Is it loud or soft?

Continuous and predictable or random?

See if you can stay with just that one sound for another 10 seconds.

Now come back to your body and feel yourself sitting in your chair.

Check in with your body.

Can you name one sensation that you notice?

Can you name one emotion that you feel?

Think of doing this practice anytime you are worried,

Nervous or feeling overwhelmed.

When you're ready you can open your eyes and lift your head.
