Hello everyone.

I'm sure you've had a busy day and you're all ready to settle down and go to sleep.

So make sure you've got your pyjamas on,

You've brushed your teeth and maybe you've got your special toy.

Perhaps that's a bunny or a teddy bear or a monkey or something else that you like to take with you to bed.

And if you don't have a special toy to take,

Don't worry.

You can put your hands on your tummy while we breathe and just watch or feel as your hands go up and down.

So climb into bed and if you've got your favourite toy,

Pop it on your tummy.

Lie back,

Snuggle down.

And let's take some deep breaths together and see what happens to your tummy.

So taking a deep breath in with your hands on top of your tummy or your toy.

And slowly breathing out.

Just feel how your tummy goes up and down as you breathe gently.

Let's try that again.

Breathing in.

And gently letting your breath out.

Well done.

And now we're going to go on an adventure in your imagination.

So you're going to stay tucked up in your bed,

All cosy and warm.

But your bed's going to become a rocket ship,

Blasting you off to a beautiful planet called Planet Sleep.

So hold tight.

Here we go.

Let's practise the breathing again.

This time we're going to count down.

So breathe in.

And out.

Three.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Two.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

One.

Breathe in for blast off.

And we're off.

And as if by magic,

Your bed's heading up through the sky,

Looking down onto your bedroom,

Onto your house,

Shooting up through the night sky.

And look out and see all the beautiful stars twinkling.

You can see the moon shining too,

As your rocket ship takes you up,

Up and away beyond,

Heading out into space.

Just look at all those twinkling stars.

Some of them are bigger.

Some of them are quite small.

Some close.

Some further away.

And just notice if they're all the same colour.

Maybe there's some different coloured stars.

Just notice what you see.

Notice the moon shining brightly,

Big and yellow in the sky.

And just notice how light and comfortable you feel and how sleepy you feel too.

And your space rocket keeps going and you start to notice different planets.

Planets of all different sizes and different colours.

What can you see?

Can you see a blue planet?

Maybe a purple or a pink planet?

Perhaps a green one or an orange one?

And just notice as your rocket ship floats past them all,

Heading for somewhere special.

And then you see it in the distance.

A very special planet.

The planet of sleep.

And just notice what colour that planet is.

Is it just one colour?

Or is it lots of different colours?

And your spaceship gets closer and closer.

And you think that you would like to touch down on that planet and go and explore for a little while.

And so gently,

Your spaceship heads towards it.

It's such a beautiful looking planet.

Makes you feel all warm and cosy inside.

And the spaceship does a little circle around.

And then heads down and lands very gently with the slightest bump onto the planet.

And you might choose to get out and explore just for a few minutes.

Everything feels soft and calm and peaceful.

And just step out onto the ground and feel what that's like.

Maybe it's soft and fluffy.

Maybe it feels warm and smooth.

Just press your feet down very gently and see what it's like on your planet for you.

And suddenly you hear the beautiful sounds of birds singing.

It feels warm and very peaceful.

And you decide to explore a little.

They're the most beautiful trees and flowers that you've ever seen.

Stretching upwards with big branches.

The most beautiful coloured flowers that you've ever seen.

You can see the birds,

All of different colours,

Flying backwards and forwards.

Singing and tweeting.

As you go off around and explore.

If you listen carefully,

You can hear the sound of water.

And as you go a little bit closer,

You see the most beautiful waterfall you've ever seen.

And the water's all the colours of the rainbow,

Splashing down,

Gently.

Making beautiful colours in a pool at the bottom.

And if you would like to,

You can sit on the edge and dip your feet in.

And feel that beautiful warm,

Silky water.

And if you really wanted to,

You could even slip into the water and have a little swim around.

Feeling how peaceful it is,

How beautiful the colours are.

And then slowly climbing out.

And as if by magic,

You're all dry,

Ready to carry on.

And so you start walking again,

Feeling really tired now.

Looking forward to getting back into your rocket bed.

Ready to go off.

Back down into your bedroom to sleep.

But taking your time.

Feeling the ground under your feet.

Maybe it's soft and squishy like marshmallows.

Maybe it's smooth.

You can feel your feet sliding along.

And you see your rocket ship waiting for you.

And you climb in.

Feeling peaceful and calm.

And you do your special breathing again.

Breathing in,

Deep breath.

Letting it out.

Three.

Two.

One.

Blast off.

And your rocket shoots up into the air.

And you look down on the beautiful planet of sleep.

It's all quiet,

All peaceful.

It's beautiful colours like a rainbow.

As your rocket does a whole circle around so you can have one last look.

And then it takes you off out into space again.

Into the dark night sky with all its twinkling stars.

Just noticing all the different colours of the stars.

The beautiful planets that you pass.

Perhaps some of them are red or yellow.

Or really just white.

Just noticing each one as you pass by.

Feeling peaceful.

Feeling very sleepy now.

And right below you,

You can see our planet,

Planet Earth.

Our beautiful blue planet.

And we get closer and closer.

Until you can see your house now.

And slowly and gently your rocket ship bed takes you down.

And right outside your house.

And then slowly and carefully in through your bedroom window.

Just gently back on your bedroom floor.

And you feel so sleepy.

That you just close your eyes.

Take your deep breaths in and out.

Nice and slowly.

Feeling your tummy going up and down.

As you drift off into a beautiful sleep.

Ready to wake up in the morning.

Feeling refreshed and ready for another day.
