Beginning in an upright position,

Allowing your body to be both relaxed and alert,

You may allow your eyes to narrow slightly downward or close,

Palms resting down on your knees or thighs.

We begin to bring our focus towards the base of the spine or the seat on your chair,

Then inviting your focus towards the crown of your head or just above.

Focusing that space from tail to crown and imagining a channel there,

A channel that your breath flows up and down.

So drawing your awareness to your breath,

Focus on your exhales.

Each exhale an opportunity to empty out,

To draw downward.

Our exhales are an encouragement of the flow of that downward current of manifestation,

Bringing things to fruition here and now.

Your inhales naturally follow your exhales.

Imagine your inhale as a rise from the base up to the crown and encouraging that awareness of each inhale,

An upward lift,

A lengthening,

An expansion.

That upward channel,

The flow of the inhale,

Is the enlightenment current.

And we think of these inhales and exhales in awareness of both,

Manifesting,

Grounding down,

Enlightening,

Rising up.

An equal balance of both helps our prana,

Our aliveness,

Our energy flow.

This fluidity can influence our energetic and our physical or mental bodies.

So as you move to the base of your next exhale,

You might imagine a red glow at the base of your spine.

Take a few exhales focusing towards that red glow.

With your next inhale,

Drawing your focus along the space in between the hip bones at the center of your spine,

Imagining an orange glow.

Then at the space just above the navel aligned with the spine,

We imagine a yellow glow.

Then inviting your inhale up to the space along your sternum near your heart,

A green glow.

Then inviting your next inhale along your throat,

A blue glow.

Higher still,

Inhaling to the space between the brows along the central spinal column,

A purple glow.

And drawing along that line,

Inhaling just above the crown,

A luminescent white glow.

Then think of those spaces as the main energy centers or chakras in the body.

And not trying to force or change,

But we'll use our breath,

Aware of those seven main spaces.

So you can sense the count as fast or slow as seems supported for you without straining.

Imagining that rainbow of color,

We inhale from one to seven and we exhale from seven,

Running down to one.

Explore that a few times.

Inhaling up to seven and exhaling down to one.

Thinking if you can sense the rainbow of colors,

Each inhale that essence of enlightenment,

Learning,

Moving up.

Each exhale the sense of grounding down,

Manifesting.

Exhaling back to the base,

Bringing your palms to rest along your body,

Wherever might have drawn your attention,

A physical space or a color.

You offer a final breath there.

Realizing how you're feeling and then allowing your palms to face upward,

Resting back on your thighs.

Placing your chin towards your chest and softly blink open your eyes.

Locked down.
