Rest back in the gentle breeze of your favourite time of day, somewhere surrounded by nature. Let the hammock fully support you to soften and let go of the holding within your own body to experience deep relaxation.

Gently closing your eyes and arrive with your whole self.

See and mind.

And find yourself resting in a hammock anywhere you choose.

It might be on a veranda,

In the garden or forest,

Beside a river or on a beach,

Somewhere spacious and peaceful.

Your body rests heavy,

Wrapped in the fabric of the hammock.

As you rest there,

Bring your awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath.

The inhale and the exhale.

And then lengthen each exhale.

Because long,

Slow exhales send messages of safety to your nervous system.

And feel the body's natural release on each exhale.

On every breath out,

You notice the feelings of relaxation deepening.

The hammock completely supporting you.

To soften any areas of tension or holding in the body.

To let everything else just melt away.

Knowing it is safe to relax and let go.

There's a deep stillness as you lay there.

It's your favourite time of day,

In your favourite season.

Feel the temperature of the air that is just right for you.

A gentle breeze brushing your cheek.

And the freshness of the air filling and cleansing your lungs.

Notice any sounds around you.

As you drink in the time for yourself to lay quietly.

Or maybe there's absolute silence.

There's no need to hold on to anything.

Just resting and relaxing.

Melting in to the hammock.

Above you is endless sky.

And nothing but space between you,

Around you and within you.

Your body continues to soften and melt with each passing exhale.

Heavy with relaxation.

Feel the deep stillness within you as you rest for as long as you wish.

And the freshness of the air filling and cleansing your lungs.
