The body softening scan facilitates a step-by-step deep relaxation of the whole body. It is designed to bring you home to yourself through the awareness and softening of tension held in the body and mind.
Music Take a few moments to bring yourself into a comfortable position where your whole body is supported and arrive with your whole self and bring your awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath the inhale and the exhale and lengthen each exhale because long slow exhales send messages of safety to your nervous system you are safe it is safe to relax safe to allow your body to soften and let any areas of tension or holding relax become aware of your feet your right and your left foot the toes on each foot the ball and heel and let the feet rest softly let the ankles relax let the muscles in the lower legs be soft and loose the calves and shins and soften into your knees at the back of your knees and the sides and the front let the muscles in the upper legs be soft and heavy and loose let the whole legs be heavy soften any holding as what you're sitting or laying against completely supports you let the hips and pelvis melt and then soften into the lower belly and around into your lower back let all the muscles be soft and loose soften around your stomach and up into the sternum and ribs let all those muscles be soft let the middle of your back loosen and into your upper back let the muscles that run down each side of your spine be soft let the shoulders be soft at the back and at the top allow those muscles to melt to melt down into your arms allowing the arms to be heavy and loose softening into your neck around the front of your neck softening and relaxing the muscles in the sides and around the back letting everything be loose softening all the muscles in the jaw letting the jaw be loose relaxing the gums and the teeth softening your cheeks on the inside and out let all the muscles in your face melt soften all those worry muscles in your temples forehead and brow let them be so soft and smooth and let the muscles of the scalp be loose and let your whole body rest so comfortably so safe

INCREDIBLE β body scan meditations are my favorite. This is being added to the top of of my playlist.
