Remember your future in this guided visualization exercise! You'll meet your future self one year out, living the life you want to live, in the relationship you want to be in. You'll also be guided through journal prompts at the end of the visualization to lock in your experience even further.

As we head into this visualization exercise,

I want you to know that you are literally reprogramming your subconscious mind every time you listen to this visualization for more ease,

More joy,

More excitement,

More confidence,

And everything else that your future self already is embodying.

Go ahead and get comfortable.

Sit down with your feet flat on the ground or you can also be lying down as well.

And just take a few moments here to settle in and to get comfortable in the position that you're in for this visualization exercise.

Go ahead and take a deep breath in,

Inhaling 1,

2,

3,

4,

And exhale 1,

2,

3,

4.

Exhale 1,

2,

3,

4,

And exhale 1,

2,

3,

4.

Starting at the top of your head,

We're going to do a brief body scan and relax each area of your body.

Starting at the top of your head and your face,

What can you relax?

Maybe it's the muscles around your eyes,

Unclench your jaw,

Anything in the face or head that you're able to relax.

Make your way down to your neck and your shoulders.

Let any tension go.

Relax.

Release any stress,

Anything you're holding onto.

Continuing down into the chest.

Relax,

Let go,

Release.

Really sink into this moment.

Making your way down to your gut and your pelvis.

Relax,

Release,

Let go.

Continuing down to your thighs and your calves.

Release,

Let go,

Relax.

And all the way down to your feet,

Relax,

Let go,

Release.

Coming back to your breath,

Take another deep inhale here.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

And exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And entering our visualization,

I want you to go ahead and start picturing the room around you.

Your eyes are closed,

But in your mind's eye,

The space right between your eyebrows,

Start picturing the room around you.

What are the color of the walls?

Is there any art or decorations on the walls?

What furniture is around you?

Are there any books or plants?

And really just take in the room around you,

Noticing in your mind's eye everything in it.

And as you are taking in the room around you,

You hear a knock on the door.

And you go to answer it.

As you open the door,

You realize that your future self is standing right outside the door one year into the future.

And as you look at them,

I want you to start taking in their appearance.

What are they wearing?

What does their hair look like?

And also what energy are they exuding?

How do you feel when you open the door,

When you see them,

When you take a look at them?

And invite them into your home and make your way to a space where you can sit down and have a brief chat.

Maybe it's on your couch or at a kitchen table.

And as you sit down,

I want you to go ahead and ask them,

What's happening in my life?

What have I created in the past year?

What's happened in the past year?

And go ahead and listen to what they have to say.

And as you listen to them,

I want you to pay attention to how they are saying what they're saying.

Are they excited?

Are they confident?

Are they calm?

Are they reassuring?

Pay attention to the emotions they're expressing with what they're telling you.

And now go ahead and ask them,

How did I get there?

And allow them to share what actions,

What shifts,

What mindset shifts and practical actions did you take in order to create the life that you're living now?

What do I need to know to get me from where I am now to where you are?

What would be most helpful?

Now go ahead and tell your future self one thing that is really bothering you or worrying you right now.

And ask them,

How did you overcome this challenge or frustration?

And as you listen to them share,

Again,

Notice what energy they are sharing this with.

Are they calm?

Are they reassuring?

Are they excited?

And as you wrap up your time together,

Go ahead and ask your future self to tell you one word or phrase that is important for you to remember when you're feeling down or you need support.

What is that one word or phrase?

And as you wrap up your time together,

You both go ahead and stand up and you lead your future self to the same door they walked in through.

Go ahead and say goodbye in whatever way feels good.

Open the door and close the door as your future self exits.

Go ahead back to the same place you were sitting or lying down when you heard the door and bring your awareness back to your breath.

Inhaling one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And exhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And exhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Go ahead and bring some movement back into your fingers and toes.

And whenever you're ready,

There is no rush.

You can go ahead and open your eyes,

Come back into the space.

And as you come back into the space,

I recommend journaling on what you just experienced.

A few questions to get you started.

What did she or he look like?

What clothing was she wearing?

What was her hair look like?

What energy exuded from them?

What did you feel in their presence?

Journaling on what happened in your life in the last year.

What did they tell you?

What have you created as this highest potential self?

What do I need to know to get me from where I am now to where you are?

What would be most helpful?

Journal on what they shared with you.

And also journaling on when you told them what you're feeling worried about or what's bothering you.

How did you overcome the challenge or frustration?

And finally,

What is that one word or phrase that is important for you to remember?

What did they share with you?

And you can also journal on anything else that comes to mind on this experience.

As I mentioned at the beginning,

Feel free to come back to this exercise at any point that you would like.

The more you do it,

The more natural and easy it becomes to connect to your future self and ultimately to step into that future self now.
