Good morning and welcome to Michelle's Sanctuary.

You are listening to a morning guided meditation.

Go easy on yourself.

I am Michelle and as you are listening,

You may think of my voice as that of your dear friend and advocate.

I am here to remind you that this day is unwritten and in the morning,

You deserve this time to set the tone for your day.

Not everything will be in your control,

But you get to decide how to respond and how to move forward.

You may listen to this from the comforts of your bed or your home or you may find sunshine outdoors and sit in the grass.

Before you take in all the noise of the world and plug into the things you cannot control,

It's time to find stillness within and connect with you because only you know what you need and desire out of this day.

In this special place for you,

Tune in to your breath.

Sigh out all your air and feel how relaxed you are as you slowly move from your sleeping life to your waking life.

Close your eyes and take in the deepest energizing breath to let your body know it's time to awaken as you feel the tingly aliveness in your body and then let it go.

Sigh it out.

Feel how good it is to have a completely unwritten day.

Take in another deep breath as your belly expands and your chest and collar bones rise.

You feel renewed with this fresh oxygen and then let go.

Sigh it out and let's focus on your intention.

Today you are going to go easy on yourself.

It's a very simple goal,

But throughout the day you may find yourself becoming conscious of the times that you are hard on yourself.

The world is full of people who are hard on others.

Don't be that person to yourself.

You don't deserve that.

You deserve love and patience and kindness.

One cannot prosper in constant criticism and judgment.

You can and will blossom with love,

Understanding and empathy.

Throughout the day,

Take notice of your inner dialogue and how you address yourself.

You talk to yourself throughout the day more than you speak to anyone else.

Make your words come from a place of trust and kindness.

Catch yourself and speak to yourself the way you would speak to a dear friend in a time of need because your greatest need today is to be true to yourself.

To ride the wave of emotions that come in a day and know that they will pass.

And your thoughts affect your feelings like the moon affects the tides.

So shine those kind thoughts brightly like a brilliant full moon and feel your emotions change.

Feel yourself filtering out the best moments,

The golden nuggets of your day.

If today there is something that makes you feel discontent or uncomfortable,

You will speak to yourself like you are your best friend and you will celebrate every small moment that you recognize how you are talking to yourself.

You will celebrate every small victory or task you accomplish.

You are doing your best today and you are starting your day the best way possible.

Be taking this time in this meditation to recognize that you need to go easy on yourself.

Because when you go easy on yourself,

Your world opens to possibilities with all the things that you desire.

You need not concern yourself with the long road ahead.

You only need to focus on what you can do today.

You deserve love,

Joy,

And peace.

And that all begins with you and how you speak to yourself.

So go easy on yourself today.

Begin a deep,

Energizing breath,

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Letter open your eyes ready to begin a new day.

You deserve all the kindness that comes your way,

Especially the kindness you bring to yourself.

Enjoy being you today and make the most of it.
