Good evening and welcome to Michelle's Sanctuary.

You are listening to Moon Dreams,

A guided sleep story and lunar escape.

Your day has come to its end and you are now welcome to relax,

Unwind and use this time you rightfully deserve and have earned to find bliss as you cross the bridge between your waking and sleeping life.

This meditation will remain effective even should you fall asleep.

Helping to paint the canvas of your dreamscape.

So find a safe place to get cozy and let yourself sink down,

Down,

Down.

Comfortable and relaxed,

Ready to begin.

And in this safe space,

Your eyelids may become heavy upon your tired eyes.

Like night shades closing upon windows,

Your eyelids block out the light and indicate it is time to gradually shut down for the night.

Breathing in as your belly rises and chest rises.

The clear,

Pure air and oxygen that travels through your body and exhaling the heaviness you may be holding in your body as the carbon dioxide releases from your lungs.

And inhale again,

Feeling this lightness in your body as if each sip of air could allow you to float,

Preparing you for this feeling of being free from gravity on the space adventure.

And then exhaling again,

Releasing all the heaviness and thoughts racing that you are now no longer tethered to.

Imagining right now how it would feel to just float up,

Up and away.

Breathing so deeply as if the oxygen you take in could make you effortlessly float towards the night's sky like a helium balloon in a tepid evening breeze.

And as you exhale,

Letting go of all that has weighed you down,

You feel you may be propelled further and further away from your cares and your bed towards the vastness of the Milky Way.

The stars twinkling all around,

The velvety rich blue-black sky.

The silvery moon is full and high,

And you go deeper and deeper within yourself.

In the same way,

You will soon be travelling deeper and deeper into space.

Feeling the stillness that resides within.

You are so fortunate right now to plug into all the imaginative powers of your mind.

In this expansion of thought,

This openness to all the magic in this world makes petty concerns that may sometimes repeat like a broken record seem all the more disposable.

As this inner connection to you and to all that is around you in this vast limitless space is empowering to notice right now as you relax and on the backs of your eyelids now act like movie screens,

You see your feet landing and bouncing upon the dusty silver-gray surface of the moon.

Your body feels buoyant and light,

Adorned in a metallic suit that protects you from the elements.

You have been residing on the moon with a purpose to explore and learn and to be part of a new initiative.

This initiative is exciting and meaningful,

And you feel the tingling sensation beneath your protective suit,

Causing goosebumps to form.

And a warm flow of lava-like energy exists within your heart center.

This feeling makes you smile beneath your space helmet.

The fact that you are now alone,

Excavating on this majestic moon,

Smiling to yourself,

Even causing the slightest escape of laughter that comes from your contentment to rattle your ribs.

And with each step you feel boundless.

As if bouncing off a trampoline,

Each stride is like an ocean wave.

And you take this time to explore what it feels like in your body.

Your suit offering this element of security,

Your helmet like a globe around you,

That in addition to physical protection,

Gives you a starting point to imagine what it would be like to have a layer of protection from negative energy and influences from the outside that do not resonate with your own intuitive inner compass.

As in this solitude,

There are little whispers and understandings of what you enjoy and what you may like to see unfold in this new and completely foreign location.

As you continue to explore,

You look towards the planet Earth.

This nurturing planet you came from is now viewed from a distance,

Looking almost like a prized sapphire blue marble egg.

You take a moment to observe your home planet,

Thinking about all the times in your life you may have wished upon a star or have looked at the man in the moon,

The face of which was formed by the maria or seas of the moon that came into being as lava cooled years ago,

Forming the smooth basalt rock surfaces that you may now explore.

Without the lights of society,

You drift through space in the basque at the pure luminous moonlight that reflects off the surface of your suit and illuminates the particles of moon dust that fill the air like glitter and confetti.

You reach down and pick up a moon rock that seems to be calling to you.

Thinking about this rock is inviting and soothing.

It reminds you of days spent collecting seashells at the shore on your home planet and you relish in this exotic experience so far away from where your life began.

This is the farthest away from home that you have ever been and even with this extreme feeling,

You feel safe and find familiarity in the foreign environment that surrounds you.

And this awakens a reminder inside of you that you are you wherever you may go and deep within is a feeling of inner confidence and wherewithal.

All that you have learned in this life,

All that you have experienced and overcome,

All of the tens of thousands of involuntary actions that your cells and body take to give you life.

And this has been happening all along from the very beginning.

From the time before memories begin.

And so you find yourself feeling at home.

Because home is ultimately within you.

As you inhale and exhale,

Remembering that you are life.

Realizing what is within your power and what you may surrender to.

Returning your attention to this magical moon rock,

You note the crevices and craters of this lava-formed piece of the moon and somehow these dark spots upon the silver-gray rock begin to illuminate.

And through your tired eyes,

Looking out the helmet that surrounds your head,

You see the words be still up here like sparkled font,

Glittering upon your new possession like twinkling Christmas lights.

You find the guidance and mantra that will lead you through this otherworldly adventure,

Looking intently again and focusing on the words.

Be still.

And in this state of deep stillness,

You are finding that you are so very tired.

In spite of the buoyancy you experience with each step.

Deep within your bones and muscles,

There is a lingering heaviness that has arisen from your tiredness.

And you are feeling that heaviness creep up to your head,

Which also feels quite heavy and tired as well.

You look to the blue-green marble of earth in the distance and send thoughts of peace and love to all those who are still home.

Realizing that the waves of joy and hope that you are sending will be received just as the tides receive guidance from the lunar phases.

Realizing how a connection can be profoundly felt and made visible from the furthest of distances.

Done with your mission for the day,

You continue onwards,

Keeping the special moon rock in your gloved hand.

You drift along a bit until you find the hatch that leads to your subterranean shelter nestled beneath the surface of the moon.

The hatch opens automatically upon recognizing you,

Welcoming you into its safety like a soft embrace.

Once again,

You feel this sensation that you are home,

Cozy and relaxing as you descend down the hatch in an elevator that is much like a capsule that closes around you,

Transporting you deeper and deeper down.

Relaxing and exhaling as you go down,

Down,

Down and relax.

So at peace.

So protected.

The elevator doors open upon an enclosed dwelling that has been completely decorated to meet your own design preferences.

You are now safe to remove your space suit and helmet,

Feeling the relief that comes with being unencumbered in this climate controlled space.

Free to change into your favorite pajamas that are clean and fresh and folded neatly for you.

Just waiting.

And across the room is your bed,

Like a pod,

It is protective and all encompassing.

Like a pea pod that is in your favorite color palette.

And inside this pod bed is a cloud like plush mattress and blanket that is puffy and inviting.

So simple,

So welcoming,

As if you may float upon it,

As if floating atop the clouds.

And you are feeling the tiredness and all around heaviness,

The feeling of accomplishment that comes from a long day and living each moment to the very fullest.

And how good it feels to have this sense of accomplishment,

To be part of this rare experience.

To far away from home,

To be reminded all that you carry within you.

You are your own guide,

Your beacon of light,

Your own compass that is centered by your intuition.

And your intuition may illuminate parts of your body at times,

Giving sensations of what feels right and what feels wrong.

And the more in tune you are with this inner GPS,

The easier your life becomes.

And somehow out in space,

You find it easier to tune in to this guide.

Even before you had all the life experience and knowledge that you have now,

You had this tactile roadmap to help.

Sometimes over time,

You have forgotten,

But in the sanctuary of this underground retreat,

You are fully alive and reminded.

Like the moon guides the tides at sea,

So too may your intuition guide your life,

Breathing in and out.

You find the moon rock and take it to bed with you,

Feeling the crooks and rugged exterior in your palm,

Reminding you momentarily of coral reef.

And as you climb into bed,

The lights of the room automatically begin to dim,

And the rock becomes aglow.

One more time with the words,

Be still.

And just like that you are,

Surrendering to the stillness,

Feeling so full,

Sipping in the cool,

Clean air to fill your lungs with oxygen that is pure and filtered in this protective dwelling.

Feels like a drink from a tall glass of cool spring water,

And when settled into the pod bed,

You snuggle beneath the plush comforter and pillows and let your body relax,

Feeling so very much at ease and still.

And in this stillness,

You find peace,

A deep silence you have sought.

The silence in this pod is irreverent and serene,

Cozy,

Wrapped within the comforter that straps around you,

Letting your eyelids fall upon your tired eyes,

Letting your body release any tension or any holding,

Feeling blessed for this magical,

Otherworldly experience that has enabled you to feel even more connected to the world you came from.

Reflecting on all that you are thankful for right now.

Feeling the gratitude for this time that is reserved for rest to bring you deeper and deeper down into a state of contentment,

Of bliss,

Of peace.

And I am going to count you down.

You may even visualize that you are buoyantly traveling across a silver bridge that gleams like the metallic aura of the moon.

That bridge is your path between your waking and sleeping life.

Standing on this bridge,

Gliding along and bouncing freely,

One step at a time towards the end.
