Or you may close your eyes and set free any thoughts of the day,

Allowing them to float out into the night.

You feel how the breeze is warmer than the still air.

It's this funny phenomenon in the desert and the wind surrounds you like a blanket of warmth.

You feel the gentle touch of sand as it runs along your exposed toes and legs like a gentle massage.

You feel a welcome solitude,

A place to just breathe and relax and feel at ease as you continue forward on your solo journey in tonight.

Far off in the distance,

You see the lights glow against the dark backdrop of desert hills indicating you are not far from home.

The air so dry with a smell of sand and earth and a subtle sweet fragrance of Arabian jasmine.

Your attire is billowy and light,

Feeling like floating gossamer as you continue to walk one step at a time.

Feeling free and uninhibited as if gliding across the golden sand below.

And your body just feels so refreshed and clean as if you have just enjoyed a shower.

You pass by a row of desert shrubs as it is getting darker and the expansive black blue sky above is glittering with stars on display like distant jewels.

And you just take in this opulence,

Feeling so rich and blessed.

Once small in the distance,

You are now close to the looming white desert palace that is your home.

Feeling so tired and ready to unwind,

You enter the pearly white entrance,

Removing your sandals as your feet meet with the cool white marble floors.

Everything is so clean and comforting,

Each step grounding you to this moment right now.

And you begin to wander through long lofty spaces and hallways,

One room leading to another,

So rich and opulent.

All these rooms belong to you,

Decorated in your own taste and style.

You take it all in as you wander through a large atrium with glass ceilings and beautifully tended flowers that surround an enclosed swimming pool.

And in this twinkling pool,

A series of hypnotic lights illuminate a waterfall that cascades down into a larger body of water.

You dip your toes in,

Enjoying the tepid feeling,

Taking in the luxurious beauty that is all yours to enjoy.

Feeling content and tired,

You leave the atrium and head towards a long turquoise and white hallway that leads you to your favorite room to unwind.

Set aglow with kaleidoscope lights with Moroccan inspiration.

These lights create soft rainbows of color on the white floors and walls.

Candles are lit and contained in stained glass fixtures,

Causing shadows to dance and flicker on the walls.

Long,

Billowy,

Sheer curtains are hung over the floor-length windows which are now open and letting in the cool desert night air.

Along a window is a plush velvet chase lounge in your favorite color.

It is inviting your feet and legs so tired from the long journey.

And alongside the lounge is a mirror table reflecting all the beautiful colors in the room and it holds your favorite cool beverage.

Sitting down on the chase,

You take a sip of this intoxicating elixir,

Feeling your eyelids that are so heavy,

Your eyes so tired,

And you feel this may be the ideal time for a nap.

Lying down on the lounge,

The curves of this exquisite furniture piece meet every curve of your back making a perfect fit as it relieves all the points of tension in your body.

And you close your eyes,

Breathing in the night air,

And you look out the window to the beautiful majestic sky above.

So expansive it seems endless.

Knowing you may travel between dimensions.

You may travel through time.

You may go wherever your heart and your creative mind leads you.

I love this one sooo much I come back to it time and time again it’s such a beautiful magical exotic experience - the whole thing is a vibe — the desert, the setting sun, the Arabian music, the pristine white palace, the waterfall pool, the luxurious velvet chase lounge, the intoxicating elixir, the magic carpet ride, being completely alone. This is one of my favourites. I don't know why. But I never actually make it onto the carpet. I am keen to know what happens once I'm on the carpet but I never make it 😭 you're too good! I always fall asleep 😆👌
