Hello,
Hello and welcome to the Adult Chair Podcast with Michelle Chalfant.
Welcome back.
I'm so glad you're with me today.
I have a fascinating show today for you with evolutionary astrologer Jill Brown.
Now I know some of you may hear the word astrology and think,
I don't know about astrology.
And let me just tell you,
You're thinking in terms of your sun sign,
Which is,
That's when you look in a magazine and you go,
Oh,
I'm a Scorpio.
Oh,
I'm a Gemini.
This is so much deeper.
It has,
Astrology for the last several years now has drawn me in because we are so much more than our sun sign.
In fact,
I feel like I want to do a show on that.
But evolutionary astrology is something new to me.
And that's why I was really excited to have Jill Brown on.
So this is not about predicting every single detail of your life,
But it is about getting curious.
Because astrology can be used as a tool to help you understand your soul's blueprint.
Like,
Why are you here?
What is your mission?
Where are you stuck?
What are the stumbling blocks in your life?
It's all sitting in your chart.
And everyone has a very unique chart based on.
The day you were born,
Or the date you were born,
Where you were born,
And what time you were born.
And when you put all of those things in to your chart,
It maps out an entire,
Really,
Honest to God,
It's this whole blueprint for how you live your life.
For me,
It has become Gosh,
It's like a blueprint of who we are.
So it gives me permission to be who I am,
Because it's just how I'm wired.
And I see it in the astrology chart.
It's fascinating.
Anyway.
Stay tuned.
It was a beautiful show with Jill.
And in this episode,
We're going to talk about What evolutionary astrology is,
How it differs from traditional astrology,
What karma really means,
How our birth charts can help us understand our children,
Our relationships,
Our work,
And our purpose.
And what are some of the big astrological shifts in 2026?
What are they inviting us to do?
So let me tell you just a little bit about Jill.
She has a fascinating story.
She was raised as a Mormon.
Has a scientific background in aerospace.
She's worked for NASA and never expected astrology to become part of her path.
But after a series of powerful life experiences,
Including a reading that helped her make sense of her own childhood and family patterns,
She began to study evolutionary astrology and eventually built her work around helping people understand the deeper meaning behind their charts.
So I invite you to have an open mind.
Stay curious and take the parts that resonate most with you.
This is such a fun and expansive conversation that we had.
I can't wait to hear what you think about the podcast I did with Jill Brown,
All about evolutionary astrology.
Here we go.
So welcome to the Michelle Chalfant Show,
Jill Brown.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for having me,
Michelle.
Boy,
Did we just have fun.
There's like a whole backstory behind the episode.
I know.
I just said,
Can we please take a minute?
I just need a moment of silence before we jump now into the podcast.
Jill Brown,
You are an evolutionary astrologer.
Now,
For somebody that might think,
Ew,
Astrology,
I don't know about that.
Hold on,
Because this woman,
Who was a Mormon,
I might add.
Has a lot to say today and what a story you have.
Um,
It's so,
It's a delight to have you on the show.
She just gave me a full session,
Which was out of this world.
So thank you for being here today.
Thank you for my session.
And I can't wait to pick your brain.
So the audience learns a little bit of more,
A little bit more about not just astrology,
But evolutionary astrology.
So thank you,
Jill.
Yeah.
Yup.
An open mind is a wonderful thing.
So You know,
Yeah,
Fun.
Yeah.
Okay.
So I think,
You know,
Where I want to begin today,
Um,
I want to,
I was going to start with what is astrology,
But I really want to start with how you found this work of astrology.
This was not anything that you believed in anything that you knew about.
Um,
So tell,
Tell us a little bit about you and how you got here today.
Yeah.
I think like probably most people,
Hopefully most people,
You've had at least a little bit of curiosity or exposure to your sun sign.
That's the easiest one because based on your date of birth,
You know,
Your sun sign.
I knew I was a tourist.
So I grew up in the age where people still got magazines.
I used to love to read my sun sign horoscope in the back of my teen magazines,
You know,
And then as a young adult,
You know,
The young adult women's magazines.
But I always thought it was interesting and just curious and fun,
Probably more than anything.
I think fun.
I found it interesting.
And then And as I got into my,
I now know what is our Saturn return,
Which is kind of late,
Late 20s,
Early 30s.
It's going through a lot of transition in my life.
And eventually met my now husband,
And we had a very young daughter,
My oldest daughter.
He's in the Navy.
We were stationed in Charleston,
South Carolina.
He taught out of the Navy Nuclear College in Goose Creek.
And so I worked full time in aerospace.
My background is actually I'm a master's degree in aeroscience.
Pilot,
I used to work for NASA.
And so I have a very aeronautical kind of scientific background.
In addition to my,
My Mormon upbringing,
I was I was raised Mormon.
And we were stationed in South Carolina,
And there were some things going on with my family that were causing a lot of really uncomfortable conversations about siblings coming out,
About abuse that had happened in childhood.
Just a lot of things that when people start speaking that language It's almost like I think of the scene in Jaws where you know They do that famous pan shot where the beach kind of grows or shrinks or whatever But his head stays stationary those kind of moments where you remember things too that you realize were deeply in your subconscious and at the same time being a New mother with a young toddler.
I just so happened to have booked an astrology session I don't know why I don't necessarily associate Charleston,
South Carolina with the sort of metaphysical woo-woo but I had this amazing local astrologer.
I had booked an appointment with her.
And I thought,
Well,
Just fine.
I've never had my chart read.
I'll have her read my chart.
I know I'm a Taurus.
That's literally all I know.
And so I went to her and she happened to be an evolutionary astrologer.
I didn't know what that was.
I didn't really think I cared.
She read my chart and I just remember sitting across from her and thinking,
Oh my gosh,
This makes so much sense.
And she was reading things in my chart talking about a childhood that looked good,
But on the outside,
But was very different on the inside,
About a lot of being a break in a chain of family trauma.
And abuse cycles.
And at the same time,
My own daughter,
I had just been going through this experience where my daughter was about almost two.
And one night she had asked when we were going to bed,
I was reading her a story and I'd sing her a song.
And she asked one night if she could read,
Sorry,
Sing me a song.
And I said,
Yeah,
That'd be that'd be lovely.
And I'm sort of dozing off and she's singing some cute little toddler song.
And then I just heard this voice say,
Listen or pay attention attention.
And I I sort of came out of my half dozed,
You know,
Every mom with young children that's working full time.
And I listened and she was singing the song and it was about being late at night navigating the forest.
And we're on this journey and it's dark,
But we know where we are because of the stars.
We can chart our way because of the stars.
And every hair on my body stood up.
It's not a song I had ever heard.
Or sang her.
We had,
She was our only child at the time.
We had a very deeply religious Southern Baptist nanny who was wonderful,
But I knew this was not a,
It almost sounded like a hymnal,
Like a gospel hymnal or something,
Not anything I would have sang in my Mormon upbringing.
And I knew that the nanny hadn't sung it to her,
And I said,
When she finished,
I said,
That was really beautiful.
Where did you learn that?
And she said,
Oh,
From my other mother.
And I'm just really like this profound pause,
I can still remember the pause.
And I was like,
Your your other mother?
And she said,
Yeah,
Mommy,
I had a mother before you.
And we used to travel at night in the stars.
But then we were crossing some river and she drowned.
And I was really sad.
And then I woke up and now you're my mother.
And I mean,
You could have knocked me over with a feather.
It was just like.
I had this very clear,
Cognizant reaction to not react.
I had this overwhelming sense of like,
Don't make it weird.
Don't ask too many questions.
Just sit here.
And let her say whatever she wants to say.
Don't probe her with questions.
Don't ask her all this stuff.
But it was the first time in my life where I thought,
When I walked out of that room and kissed her goodnight,
I thought,
Where did that come from?
That did not come from me.
I can guarantee you it didn't come from her father.
And it didn't come from the nanny.
And we don't have any friends or family.
We just got stationed here.
We have a very limited social circle.
Where did that come from?
And it just really set me on this profound journey that overlapped with sort of my own family trauma and then my chart being read by this evolutionary astrologer who said,
Oh,
Yeah,
You have a self-node.
And your self-node in your chart in evolutionary astrology talks about this sort of karmic memory that carries through.
And then that really is what gives this life's mission,
This life's purpose,
This life's challenges,
This life's talents.
Why are we born the way we are?
Why are we born with certain things that come really easy and naturally,
Other things we really struggle at?
Is all of that.
And then I just went down the rabbit hole from there for years and years.
That literally every hair on my body just stood up.
I was like,
I love that.
Yeah.
She's been my teacher.
I feel like if we let our children,
A lot of times they're our teacher because she has had so many stories and gifts that they're just still so innocent.
Yeah.
And when I was a kid,
That's the kind of thing that we would have said,
Oh,
How cute.
She has an imaginary friend.
Yeah.
But I had at least the wherewithal to go,
No,
This this feels like a memory or a tapping into something.
But at the University of Virginia's medical school,
So that'll give you some credentials.
Yeah,
There is a medical research team that researches children that have past life memories against actual living people with death certificates and all the rest and the overlay of the children's memories and details combined with these people that they remember with no logical link to know any of the stuff that they know,
Has just been shown time and time and time and time again.
So it's just become a really fascinating area for me that's really opened up my mind to at least be curious about what else might be out there.
What else might we really be doing here?
You know,
Where do we go?
I don't know,
Just very fascinating.
It's funny you say that when I was in college in the 80s.
I remember finding there was the doctor that did all that research that you're talking about at University of Virginia.
Fascinating.
I did research papers on this.
Oh cool.
Okay.
Yeah,
But unbelievable these children before the age of six are talking about when they were God only knows like you named the profession and then they would go and track down that person's name and the profession they lived on the other side of the world or the other side of the country and it would line up and thousands of cases,
Thousands of cases.
It was wild.
So I know exactly what you're talking about.
Yeah,
And at least it opens your mind to be curious.
You know,
I always wondered,
One of the reasons I started to have issues,
I guess more questions about being raised Mormon was I had more questions than it necessarily had answers or answers that made sense to me and sometimes contradicted itself.
And I'm a very logical person and I kind of think,
Well,
Some of this is on faith,
But some of it,
There's also a little bit of common sense here that's not really adding up for me personally,
At least.
And I got really curious about different things.
And I don't think there's anything wrong with curiosity.
You know,
You can be curious and maintain whatever your faith is or your religious beliefs,
But at least curiosity and an open mind is a really interesting thing to see what's out there.
It's a big wide world,
A big wide universe.
Oh my gosh,
That's it.
It's a big wide universe.
And when we think about the planet Earth is in this gigantic gigantic,
Unbelievable universe.
We realize how small we really are.
And we,
I like what you said to have an open mind.
And I hope that anyone that is listening today just Be curious and have an open mind.
I'm certainly not here to shove anything down anyone's throat,
Nor are you.
But this is just about,
Huh,
I wonder about this.
Yeah.
I wonder,
Could there be something here,
Right?
Well,
In cultures as far back as we have recorded history or runes or archaeology,
We just discover time and time again this fascination with and this study of the cosmos.
Right.
Since since the dawn of any type of recorded or handed down myth,
It's It's always about looking up at the stars and the movement of the stars and the tracking of the constellations and navigation by constellation.
Even the way that our satellite systems work today are based on satellites and constellations and waypoints in the sky.
Gosh,
Isn't that interesting?
Yeah.
I wonder what else,
Right?
Yeah.
Well,
Think about with Jesus,
What did the wise men say?
What were they doing?
Exactly.
It was the star that helped them find the baby Jesus from far,
Far away,
You know,
Foreign lands.
They came and they followed the star.
Yeah,
Exactly.
It's fascinating.
And I think the more,
The more curious that I've been throughout my life,
I see how everything is so woven together.
And,
And the world has made more and more and more and more sense to me as the older I get,
I'm like everything I keep learning,
I'm like,
Oh,
That makes sense.
And astrology is something that certainly it's always resonated with me.
And I've had my chart read many,
Many,
Many times,
But this was the first time I've had evolutionary astrology,
Which was really fun and interesting.
But you nailed it.
Like you don't,
You and I do not know each other at all.
And I was just very quiet.
And I let you just give me an interpretation of who I am based on my date of birth,
My time of birth and where I was born.
That's all that you had.
That's it.
You don't know the emotional wounding that I've had.
You don't know my life mission.
I mean,
You can Google me,
But it's like,
You don't know what I feel inside of me.
Cause I don't share that with people.
And you just spoke the words that only I know.
And that's what I love about astrology is it's just it's really learning about yourself.
That's it.
It's your blueprint.
It's your journey.
It's your opportunity to embrace or reject your chart.
But it's just there to get to know yourself better.
And gosh,
Wouldn't we all be happier if we understood ourselves better?
Because then we can understand each other better.
Right.
Oh,
My gosh.
To me,
It is.
It gives me permission to be myself.
Yes.
I'm not meant to be like this,
That and the other thing.
Lifetime.
I'm meant to work on self-worth and what came up for me today and anyone that knows me or has attended anything I've ever done.
I'm,
I know for myself,
I'm here to work on self-worth and self-confidence and speak about it and help this world to transform.
You just basically said those words to me.
And I thought,
Isn't this fascinating?
You don't even know me.
But to me,
The astrology chart is exactly what you said.
It's a blueprint.
It's a blueprint to who we are,
Where are our blind spots that we can't see?
It guides us if we're willing to look and be open to it.
And again,
Gives me permission just to be like,
Well,
That's just who I am in this lifetime.
There's nothing wrong with me.
It's a guidance tool.
So tell us what evolutionary astrology,
Tell us again,
Break down astrology in the simplest terms,
But what is evolutionary astrology specifically?
Yeah,
So to me,
There's a few things I've read recently,
Which I really like.
One is I hear people say,
And I'm sure you have as well,
On.
I don't believe in astrology.
Which is fine,
But it's a very interesting choice of words to me.
And I read something the other day,
Which I loved,
Which was,
It's not that you don't believe in astrology.
Astrology is a language,
Like Spanish,
Like English,
Like Chinese,
Like Russian.
You don't understand astrology.
I don't speak Russian.
That doesn't mean I don't believe in Russian as a language.
It's clearly a language that's operating and has shared results for entire cultures of It's just that I don't understand it.
And so I like that context of astrology really is real,
Whether you believe in it or not.
It's just a language that you have to learn to understand.
And I think the other thing I've said for a long time is,
And maybe this comes from my aviation background where the weather is all important.
So you're always checking weather charts and storm fronts.
But it's a weather forecast is what astrology is too.
And so we have these models,
Which astrology is,
Right?
Models applied models that can predict cycles and patterns and astrological events.
And that is the same as we would do a meteorological model.
Now,
There are if you look at the hurricanes every spring,
Right,
There's our sorry,
Every summer,
There's always different models that they apply to try to calculate where the hurricane is going to hit.
But we're using that same foundational principle in astrology,
We're trying to apply a model to understand the forecast,
It's the cosmic forecast,
The energetic forecast,
And then we apply that.
And I say all the time,
It can be raining or it can be sunny,
And two people are going to have very different experiences with that weather.
So the other thing I find a little bit frustrating when you get into the astrology community is this subservience to like,
Well,
My you know,
My Mars is in Aries.
So of course I'm aggressive and it's like well It's not an excuse or Mercury's gone retrograde.
So I've lost,
You know everything and I can't No,
No.
No,
It's a it's a weather forecast It's a cosmic weather forecast and it's your opportunity to understand what that is And then how do you want to interact with that?
But you have agency you have sovereignty I really believe that God and the ultimate creator put each of us here to live authentic individualized lives of freedom not to.
Be subjected to some puppet master,
Whether that's astrology or any anytime you're deferring yourself to something like astrology as the reason for fate or what you're doing.
I think you're getting out of the ethos of what it's really meant to be.
It's there to be a guide.
It's not very overlord or arrest.
No,
Not at all.
Golly,
That's pulling the strings of your life.
Yeah.
You get to choose how you interact with that.
Well,
It's kind of like what you said to me.
You know,
One of the things that I'm here to work through and learn about and then turn and run and teach,
Which is exactly what I'm doing.
Self-worth.
Let's take that for an example.
That's sitting in my chart.
You're able to see that in my chart.
It doesn't mean that I have to work on it.
It doesn't mean I will work on it.
It doesn't mean I have to teach it to anybody,
But it's like,
It's sitting right there.
So if I'm someone that might've been struggling with my self-worth,
How beautiful is it to then have an astrology reading and have somebody go,
Oh,
Self-worth,
It'd be like,
Really?
Like,
I wasn't surprised.
Cause I know this,
I know this about myself,
But I could see a lot of people that are struggling.
In fact,
I got to share a story.
A friend of mine had a lot of health issues for a few years,
A lot of health issues.
And I said to her,
You should have your astrology chart read and see what's going on with your health.
See if there's anything in there to help you It's like I don't know about that.
Well My other friend looked at her chart and said,
Oh,
Yeah,
It's right here in her chart She said she's here to learn about this was so fascinating.
It says she's I see it in her chart She's here to have health issues and to exhaust every sort of methodology that's mainstream so that she starts learning about alternative medicine because she's actually here to learn about and teach alternative medicine.
So the health issues in her chart were perfect for her.
And sure enough,
She started now moving into alternative medicine.
I'm like,
But she doesn't even know that because she didn't want to hear about it.
But I went and asked her.
And I was like,
Oh,
There it is.
So I'm kind of watching from afar.
I'm like,
It's right there in our chart.
And it's an invitation,
Right?
Totally.
We can make those cycles as long or as short as we prefer to interact with them and do the work.
But it's an invitation and we don't have to accept it.
Absolutely.
And there's such mathematics,
I find,
In astrology as well.
It's more of a mathematical or a science than it is this like predictive sort of thing.
That's where people get so scared.
Are you predicting this for me?
No.
No,
It's just no.
It's even with I think this year we're going to be subject to a lot of I call it doomsday astrology,
You know,
With all the big major planetary transits and they line up to historical events.
But again,
It's just a pattern.
It's and it's actually an invitation to respond in a very new and different way.
Right.
It is not a predictor of the same type of events.
It's just saying,
Hey,
Last time these transits these energies were amped up.
Gosh,
Isn't that nice to know?
What if we created spaciousness instead?
What if we reacted from kindness instead of woundedness?
What if we thought the best of other people and then gave them a chance to prove us right instead of immediately going on the defense?
So I think we have to be mindful of any community,
New age,
Religious,
News organization,
Whatever.
We need to be really mindful about distilling truth.
I really don't like when we give up autonomy and let someone else tell us what the truth is.
We really need to run that through our filter.
Yeah,
I agree.
So I want to talk a little bit about what you see coming for 2026.
But I first want you to explain.
So if someone's had a Western astrology,
That's what I think most people know.
So how do you explain what evolutionary is?
Because I've never even heard of that term until you came along.
Yeah.
So evolutionary astrology is still in classed as Western astrology.
It uses the Placidus system.
That's just a bunch of astrology vocab mumbo jumbo.
You don't need to worry about that.
That differentiates evolutionary astrology is it's this idea that we are born into this life with a karmic memory,
A karmic imprint.
And in evolutionary astrology,
We say,
Basically,
We're looking at the chart behind the chart.
So like we just talked about your birth chart,
There's Michelle's birth chart.
But what is the chart that was before Michelle's birth chart that caused Michelle to come into this life with this mission,
This need to do the self work,
But also this profound sense of mission to really have a broad global public audience that you can share this message and this work with,
Right?
Where did that come from?
And so evolutionary astrology looks at that kind of chart that's behind this birth chart that might help us navigate why we do things,
How we do things.
And so we see there's kind of a few forms of karma.
One is things that you did right,
But they had harmful sort of karmic side effects.
And I think the perfect example we talked about was all the young people that we send off to war.
It is a really wonderful thing to try to defend country and home.
And I think that's a very honorable thing and calling.
But the truth is,
If we have to harm another human being that has ramifications,
We see that even now through all of our really dedicated and I'm a 21 year military spouse,
PTSD,
And things that we really need to help our soldiers that come back from these arenas.
Or even in Ye Olden Day,
You're on your little farm,
And here come the Vikings.
And you have to save your mother and your kid.
But you just had to clobber a Viking over the head.
And now you've got to deal with cleaning up the mess and the aftermath of that.
You did the right thing.
You were trying to protect your family and your home.
But there is still a karmic memory that carries over that wants to be resolved or understood.
Is,
And we certainly see this in the world now,
There are bad people that make bad choices time and time again for power,
For control,
For manipulation.
But everybody dies.
That's the one guarantee we're given.
So what happens with all of that energy and that karmic imprint?
People have to come back again,
Right,
And rework through that.
And then one of the last ones we think about is just this idea of force majeure.
Your life is cut short,
Your life is stunted in some way.
You're part of a system that marginalizes you,
So you don't get to have a voice.
Your family has the timeshare in Pompeii,
And your weekend is AD 79,
And oh crap,
Here comes the periclastic flow,
And your family is taken out in a very traumatic way.
That leaves an imprint too.
So evolutionary astrology is trying to look at these karmic events from a past life that might carry forward and give more meaning,
More clarity,
And more mission to this life,
To this chart,
To this incarnation,
So that we can really do the most with it,
Right?
That's the invitation.
Yeah.
That's powerful.
Thank you for that.
Explain,
Again,
Break down what the word karma means,
Please.
Oh,
It's such a scary word.
I know.
People use it,
They don't know what it means exactly.
Oh,
That's bad karma.
I'm like,
Wait a minute.
Yeah.
Anytime we're using karma in a way that weaponizes it is we're getting into dangerous territory.
He deserves that because of karma.
You deserve that because of karma.
That is a force that we are not.
It's to me,
It's a God force.
I'm not here to play God or to play dole out karma right that is a divine order that's far beyond my skill sets and understanding.
It's really kind of memory.
It's that woundedness or that healedness that comes through.
It's that opportunity and invitation to make different choices or to,
Again,
Make courageous choices.
Maybe we made courageous choices in the past that had physical outcomes,
And we're here in this lifetime to make those courageous decisions again and realize that we're safe.
I know a lot of people who can't speak up or have conflict because of past life issues where speaking up and having conflict was very physically dangerous,
Maybe even deadly.
And so they're here regaining that ground to go,
Oh my gosh,
It's actually for most of us,
At least,
Thank God.
Pretty safe to have a different opinion,
At least to speak it,
You might be unpopular,
You might be attacked by trolls on the internet,
But your life for the most part,
Hopefully is safe enough to regain that confidence to have a voice to think different,
To be your full authentic self to have freedom.
So many wounded people that really just if we could do the work,
I always love that saying hurt people hurt people.
Yes,
So true.
We stop inflicting wounds on other people when we understand the wounds in ourself.
That to me was the biggest motivation in life.
You don't want to hurt people.
Yeah.
You were talking about there are bad people in the world and the way I see it,
Cause I worked with so many people,
It's just my personal experience.
Again,
Take it or leave it people.
It doesn't matter to me if you agree with me or not.
But what I have found is that the people that are the most vindictive,
Horrible people are the people that are the most closed off from their heart.
They have shut it down.
And when you can't touch the energy that's coming from your heart,
Do horrible things.
You do horrible things.
But I've also seen people just in my career working with people.
That came into me and said,
I've done horrible things,
Horrible things in my marriage with my children.
Can you help me?
And I could feel this like glimpse of their heart,
Like this energy of,
Of curiosity,
Of hope kind of coming from their heart.
And I,
I would find that over time they would be able to,
They started to change.
So I have hope for everybody,
But yeah,
There are bad people.
And.
But I think that everyone has the potential.
Not everybody chooses,
Though.
You got to choose it.
You got to choose it.
I don't know.
Yeah.
No,
I agree with you too.
I actually think inherently people are mostly good.
And I think we all have the capacity to return to who we really are.
It's kind of like a return to love,
Right?
Return to who you are.
Yeah.
But I mean,
Because of,
Because of our childhoods,
Because of how we're raised,
Because of whatever happens to us when we're growing up,
Oftentimes,
Man,
Our hearts are just closed because we've had to protect ourselves.
Anyway,
Going off on a tangent,
We'll go back.
Something that you mentioned in the beginning,
Which I know people talk about,
Some people don't even know what the heck it means,
But what is a Saturn return?
You mentioned number one,
I'm heading up to,
I'm on my number two Saturn return.
So talk about what happens when you have a Saturn return.
I don't think people quite understand what this means as well.
Yeah,
It's interesting.
So,
Um,
As in astronomy as well as in astrology,
Saturn takes about 29 to 29 and a half years to complete a full orbit,
Right?
Full orbit around the sun.
And so the position of Saturn in your birth chart around the age of sort of that 29,
30 years old,
Returns to the position,
That same house and sign that it was when you were born.
And during that time,
People typically tend to experience a lot of disruption.
But I think of it more as almost like a rite of passage.
We sort of leave childhood and our youth and our growing,
And we have to go through this painful transition into reconciling who our parents are,
Reconciling who our friends are,
Reconciling maybe who our spouse or partner is if we got married or have a really serious relationship.
Really,
This kind of,
Like,
Come to Jesus moment in our life that typically lasts for about a year or while it's in that transit a year and a half.
But it tends to be almost like you enter one way and you go through all this disruption and big,
Profound questioning and a lot of changing,
And you come out,
Hopefully,
An improved person,
A different person,
You know,
Career change,
Marriage change,
Location change.
A lot of people end up like moving or changing countries or changing states,
But tends to be a really profound time of change.
I just want to ask a question while you're on this.
It doesn't have something to do with,
Yes,
So if I'm born November 9th,
1967,
It's like in my chart was exactly a certain way on that day at 1.
30 in the afternoon I was born.
So then when you take that in 28,
29 years later,
And it all comes back to the same exact position as when I was born.
Isn't it the soul kind of doing a check in like,
OK,
What have you learned?
Time to keep moving forward.
Or is that the second one?
No,
I think that's the first and the second,
Right?
Yeah.
But it's almost like an era.
Yeah,
It is.
It's like the childhood era,
The adult era.
Where are we at?
Do we like where we're at?
We're going to change something,
Right?
And then to your point,
Then,
OK,
Well,
29 and a half-ish years later,
You're coming back around to it again.
So that's when we hit around 58,
60 years old,
You're seeing that Saturn return happen for a second time.
And same thing,
OK,
Now we've reached kind of like a midpoint of life.
What's really interesting is Chiron is a point in your chart,
Too.
And Chiron,
As a comet asteroid piece of our chart,
It takes about 50 years to do a complete orbit around the sun.
So you think about your Chiron return around age 50,
Approximately,
And your second Saturn return around age 58 to 60.
Always say people have at that age,
A midlife crisis,
I was gonna say a midlife crisis,
Of course,
Well,
There you go,
Because the call is to heal and to assess and to do the hard work.
And if you have not been willing to do it up until then,
That's usually when life says,
Look,
If you're not going to answer the door,
I'm going to come in through the window,
Or I'm going to break down the door,
Right?
Yeah,
See that change,
Because our chart wants us to be our best version of ourselves.
You know,
But the sports car and the affair,
That's not really driving happiness.
And that's what people tend to do as a Reaction from a triggered hurt place because they haven't done the work to really look inside See what's in there?
What do we need to clean up?
Are we living who we say we are?
Are we acting the way we say we believe?
You know,
How are we embodying these qualities and so our Saturn return and our Chiron return is there to do a a Pretty intense check-in with us.
I love that and if you're someone that is listening thinking I don't know what I am I don't know what I'm here to do.
I don't even know am I on my soul mission?
Am I?
Going on the right path,
Because it does kind of kick you in the butt,
I gotta say,
Because I'm seeing my husband.
I'm gonna whisper.
As if I'm not putting this out to thousands and thousands of people,
But I'm just watching my husband go through it right now.
Cause he's like,
Hmm,
What am I here to do?
You know,
It's that whole thing.
Like,
Am I,
It's a really big question.
Am I doing the career that I'm here to do that,
That aligns with my soul that do I,
Am I here,
You know,
With my sole purpose and all the things.
So he's really in that space right now.
And it's funny because my first Saturn return,
That was when I got married,
I had my first child and that was probably when I really recognized in a very deep way.
Oh,
This is self-worth stuff.
I'm here to work on.
Yeah.
Isn't it?
And I didn't,
I don't know.
I might've had an astrology reading by then,
But I don't remember it coming up then.
And then at this point in my life,
It's like,
I,
By this time,
Thank God I'm here to teach it about it.
Cause I've gone through so much of it.
Not that you ever get to the end of it,
But yeah.
So that's why I love to share with people like,
Go get your chart run.
Even if you get it done once,
It really is understanding this.
You,
Every human was born with this beautiful blueprint that can guide you.
In fact,
One of my friends had a baby recently.
And they sent her this really cool astrology book.
It was for her daughter.
So I got,
I said,
Give me your daughter's full name,
You know,
Where she was born,
Time and everything.
And you can plug it.
I found it on Instagram or something.
And I plugged everything in.
It's the coolest book.
And it helps her now to understand as a mom,
What's coming,
What's the best way to parent your child.
What's the best way to help your child become who they're here to become.
Basically it's the blueprint for the child.
Like,
Why didn't we all get this?
I want a birth certificate.
Certificate with my child and I want their astrology chart because yeah,
We know how to nurture them and guide them in their lifetime.
That's right.
And that's such a beautiful point because that was something that was really interesting to me.
You can get,
I know you've,
You've had this done too,
So you know,
But you can get a synergy chart reading,
Which is your chart overlaid with someone else's.
A lot of people will do it with their,
With their partner,
Their husband,
Their wife,
Their spouse,
But you can also do it with your children.
And to me,
The idea of like so much of my shame and hurt and wounded places come from my childhood.
And so becoming a mother was an extremely big deal to me.
I just felt like I don't want to.
.
.
And we're all going to screw it up in some capacity,
Right?
I had to also get over that mind block of like,
There's no such thing as a person pair,
But I really wanted to do my best.
And I loved that about astrology,
Because it allows me to see how different my daughters are,
And to try to adopt my parenting to help them thrive,
And to understand them.
They have different motivations.
They have very different missions.
They have very different communication styles.
And having their charts read really helps me to engage with them in a way that I hope we have the most connection.
That to me is what I want with my daughters is deep connection,
Lasting connection,
A lifelong connection with my girls,
You know?
And astrology is nice for that.
Yeah.
Cause you can understand what are their roadblocks?
What are their issues?
What are their,
What are they here to,
To what's their life mission?
Like,
And then you can parent them in that way.
Like that's incredible.
I just,
I've,
I've done the chart with Graham several times.
Like I have his chart and it's like,
God,
Every issue we have is right in the astrology chart.
It's so cool.
Yeah,
You learn how they communicate differently than you you learn around with their stumbling blocks I think it was interesting too because when the girls were little I mean I was home all the time.
I worked from home I was lucky enough to have a full-time career that I was allowed to work from home So,
I mean I was home all the time even though we had a full-time nanny and my girls My oldest one the one I was mentioning at the start of the call had this memory of her mother drowning before me Before I had that done.
She would like I would have to I would have to open the shower door like open the door to the bathroom and say,
I'm gonna go take a shower.
And she would be like,
Okay,
And I'd be like,
Can you repeat back to me where I said I'm gonna be?
Because if she if you left the room,
It was like abject terror.
And I used to say someone's gonna think I like locked her in the car and left her or something like,
You know,
Like,
I'm always home.
I'm always around.
But it would even be so upsetting for her and disorienting for her if I even left the room and she didn't know where I was.
And she'd be like,
You left the room.
And I was like,
I was grabbing a cup of tea.
I'm sorry.
So it helped me understand her to like,
This is some sort of reflexive fear in her that I need to help assure her,
You know,
Like,
And I would have a repeated back.
Okay,
I'm gonna go I'm gonna go take a shower.
I'm in the bathroom.
Where am I at?
I'm in the bathroom.
So if you need me,
Where are you gonna come?
I'm gonna come to the bathroom,
Mommy.
And then it was okay.
But I realized with her,
Where's my Leo baby?
She's like,
I don't care where you are in the house.
Like I run this place.
My Leo baby doesn't care.
But my but my oldest daughter needed that reassurance.
And instead of shutting that down and giving her a phobia,
It was just able to easily accommodate it and understand it better for her.
You know,
That's the thing to understand it better,
Understand these kids better.
And how do we parent them?
How do we become the best parent for them?
Because no two kids,
I don't care if you have five kids in your family or two kids in your family,
As you're saying,
They're all so different because they're all different souls.
They're not the same soul.
They came in with different missions,
With different temperaments.
So you cannot parent two kids the exact same way.
It just does not work.
It doesn't.
At least if you want to be successful.
I think I,
I came from a generation where my parents very much were like,
This is the parent style you adapt for better or worse,
But my philosophy tends to be more I'd like to form deep and meaningful connections with my children that last our lifetime.
Yeah.
And an astrology chart is a great way to do that.
Yeah.
What about,
Um,
Even,
And I know this,
This came up when you were just doing my chart too,
But again,
Our jobs,
Like if someone is sitting here going,
I just don't know what I'm here to do in this lifetime.
Why do I love my career?
Tell us a little bit about that.
What can you find out about your mission,
Your career,
Et cetera?
Yeah,
And that's one thing I actually really love about having your chart read.
So you can go into AI or you can get free apps and you can have like a basic download of your chart,
Which is great.
You should absolutely.
That's a great stepping stone.
But the thing I love about having your chart actually read by an astrologer is it's so personalized to who you are and not everybody is here for the same mission,
Right?
Some of us are here to lead big,
Public,
Vulnerable,
Open,
Visible lives.
Some of us are here for deep inner work.
I'll see people where all of their planets are placed in the lower side of the circle,
Which just means this is a life of introspection for you.
This is a life of philosophy for you.
This is a different,
It's a different kind of lifestyle.
Other people I see,
Like we talked about with you,
You have so much rocket fuel and energy behind your drive.
Other people's,
It's much more subdued.
And so when we digest advice from gurus or different places or ideas,
It's kind of a one size fits all.
And that's okay.
It's a good starting point.
But the point is,
When it's personalized to you,
It gives you permission and understanding of yourself to operate in the optimal way.
You know,
Sometimes I tell people balance for you is going to be way more about family,
Being at home,
Being a mother than it is career.
Other times for other women,
It's like,
You're going to have to talk to your family about trade-offs that have to be made because your mission is your work.
Your kids are important too.
But for your life to be fully realized,
This platform is such an important development.
And I just think that's nice to understand that we don't all have the same blueprint.
Not all of us are in hustle culture,
You know,
And not all of us are in laid back culture.
We're here to embody different things because we've all led very different lives and we all have very different karma that we've come in with to reconcile and to work through.
So everyone's mission is really unique.
You use such an important word,
Which I think I used earlier,
But was about permission.
It gives us permission to be who we are and not feel bad about it.
I love what you just said.
Maybe you're here to be a mom.
Maybe you're here to do deep inner work and not really have a career.
And that's perfect for you.
It's sitting in your chart.
And this is why every time you've tried to start a business,
It fails.
This is why every time you try to get a job,
You don't get hired.
It's like,
Oh,
Wait,
I'm not here to do that,
But I'm here to look at your chart,
Do this.
Right.
It's like eye opening.
Yeah.
And the shame falls away.
The frustration,
The anger,
The all of this stuff starts to fall away.
It's like,
Well,
That's just what you're here to do.
Right.
So stop comparing yourself to anybody.
Right.
That's right.
Yeah.
Balance is balance is a dangerous word because balance is so different for your each person based on their charts.
Nobody's balance looks the same.
What is very hard with one size fits all advice.
It's like,
Not everybody is here to hustle 24 seven and give everything up,
You know,
To the altar of this career.
Other people they are.
Yeah.
And so you shouldn't be shamed for either side of that spectrum.
It's understanding your mission,
Your chart,
What you're here to do when you're here to develop.
Yeah,
So good.
Tell us about give us a little as we're ending here.
What's happening in 2026?
Well,
I don't know about Instagram.
I'm a YouTube girl,
But when I go on YouTube,
I'm like,
Woo.
You hear people talking,
Different astrologers talking a lot about 20,
Like 2026.
It seems that the planets are lining up in a similar way to when they did.
4,
In a lot of different ways,
Really accelerating us on this planet.
This year in particular,
There's a lot going on.
So give us some high level fun stuff that you're seeing.
Yeah,
To me the healthiest way to think about 2026 is it is the beginning of a new era,
Right?
And anytime anybody has crossed that threshold from being a woman into being a mother,
Being a job into a new position.
From being single into moving in with somebody.
Those are big liminal spaces where we cross a threshold and we might be excited about the change,
We might be,
Have been praying for the change,
But that change is still a little bit disorienting,
Right?
We're a little bit on like shifting sands and it's like,
Ooh,
I know I said I wanted this,
But it's a little bit uncomfortable.
That to me is the energy of 2026.
We are being invited to usher in what is a new era.
We have a bunch of what we call our outer planets,
Saturn,
Uranus,
Neptune,
Pluto,
Having just moved or about to move over the first couple months of this year into new signs where they're going to stay for two years,
Eight years,
10 years,
And 20 years,
Right?
Like long periods of time.
And so when we see this historically,
We see it being kind of the start of a new age,
The beginning of a new era,
The turning of the tides of history into a new place.
And to me,
That's really exciting.
I think most of us would recognize that we could we could really benefit from some changes in our world,
It's then up to us how we handle the change.
So I think things you can do to one,
And I know you teach whole courses on this,
But like regulating your nervous system to make sure that you're in a place of calm so that I would say if people can get you to react,
They can control you.
Reactions are the biggest way to control other people.
So if you're having a visceral reaction,
Come back to that nervous system regulation,
Create that spaciousness.
In this kind of juicy place that you can make really good informed choices instead of just reacting.
If I know how to get you to react,
Those people that know how to push buttons,
Very easy to control people,
Right?
I know this is going to tick you off.
So I'm going to push that button and boom,
I got the reaction I wanted.
And now you're in that bucket,
You know?
So this will be a year inevitably of really big change.
But to me,
That's a really positive thing.
We just have to remember to really keep our nervous system regulated,
Keep ourselves in a position of discernment,
Really separating fact from fiction,
Reality from idealism,
Truth from illusion,
Things we want to believe in,
But we're really seeing the proof isn't behind that,
Right?
And then we have the opportunity to,
I think,
Craft a better world over the next couple of years for ourself,
A better personal world,
But a better world that we all get to live in.
And to me,
That really starts at home in our local community.
Start small,
You know,
And see how you,
How does your regulated nervous system help your family or your home?
And then how does that help your school and your school district?
And how does that help your city and your community?
Right?
Like,
I think it has a ripple effect in a very positive way,
But it starts with us and we have to really want to Be calm.
Stay calm.
Prioritize fact.
Prioritize calmness.
Prioritize really understanding ourself and our triggers so that we can choose instead of be prompted into reaction.
Thank you for all of that.
I've heard some things,
Again,
With the AI just coming on fast and furious,
Like it's gonna really,
Do you see anything in astrology for this year around AI?
Someone the other day said,
I think we're gonna have flying cars in one year.
And I was like,
Wow,
Like there's some way out stuff.
Have you seen anything really?
I mean,
It seems like the,
Advancing in technology is just going to go beyond what we could ever imagine,
But also financially,
Like the crash of the economy.
I'm certainly not here to scare anybody,
But different types of currencies and what do you see around that?
Yeah,
So technology for sure.
We look at the planet Uranus in astrology as a predictor of two things.
One is brilliance and intelligence,
And two is technology and innovation.
And Uranus is moving into the sign of Gemini in April.
Uranus in Gemini almost always has,
In the past,
Ushered in periods of rapid technology advancement.
But what's interesting about that,
Is Uranus is also our sign of.
.
.
Like,
Egalitarian and revolution.
And so I think government systems,
Right.
And so I think what we'll also see in parallel with this rise in technology,
Is a cry from citizens to properly govern that technology.
How do we govern it?
How do we understand it?
How do we help regulate it?
How do we make it fair?
How do we understand how AI impacts water resources,
And the well being of the towns in which these massive data centers are being set up,
Right?
Their quality of life,
That should matter to all of us.
How we're consolidating personal data and sharing that with large tech companies or large billionaires,
That should concern us.
And so I think as much as we will see this advancement of technology kind of rapidly happening over the next 10 years,
I think also with that will be a cry from the citizens to govern that properly.
Where are the guardrails?
Where do we limit that?
Where do we share in that?
And how do we make sure that that is an equitable and safe thing for all of us,
Not just for people who stand to benefit financially from this rapid growth.
Yeah,
That's really powerful.
Yeah,
Uranus and Gemini.
Yeah,
And they move in in April and they're here for,
You said 10 years.
Uranus and Gemini will be there until May of 2033.
So what is that,
Seven years?
Seven years.
So it's going to be happening over time.
It's not something that's going to happen in a month or anything like that.
That I don't I don't see that these are more gradual changes but I think when we look back over seven years like as someone who grew up with a you know,
A rotary phone and no internet.
I just even look back at my own life and I'm like,
I didn't get a cell phone till I was like a senior in college and it was like deluxe to me and now my eight-year-old wants a cell phone and I'm like,
Yeah,
Dream Monster.
You know,
It's just been a profound time of change.
I think we'll see that kind of like compaction of a lot of innovation packed into the seven years when we look back.
Yeah,
I just heard from someone the other day who said,
By the end of 2026,
We're going to look back and go,
Wow,
I had no,
Like,
This was a big year of change,
Just on so many levels.
And a lot of what you were saying as far as the citizens of not just the United States,
But of countries that are really global citizens.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're we're we're speaking up more and we're saying,
Hold on a second.
We want to do things in a new way.
And it's going to be for the good,
You know.
But again,
To get to the good,
Sometimes you got to go through something that's not so good.
Yeah.
But in the end,
There is going to be so much.
It's just going to be different.
Let's just leave it at that.
I don't want to open all that up right now.
Yeah.
Thank you so much for this today.
So,
So good.
Anything else you want to add that you haven't added?
No,
I'm just it's been a delight to talk to you and I love getting to talk about astrology and yeah,
It's just to me Astrology too is it's just another tool in the tool set right?
Meditation astrology prayer religion These are all wonderful gifts that are just trying to get us back to the truest sense of who we are and that divine connection And so take what you like and leave the rest.
Yeah for sure.
Thank you for that.
Yeah,
Jill Brown Thank you so much for being here today It was a pleasure to meet you and get to know you and thank you again for my incredible session.
I loved it.
Absolutely.
Thanks for having me,
Michelle.
