This meditation will soothe you and help you ease tension and melt away stress as you drift into a more calm and relaxing state of being.
So let's begin,
Get comfortable wherever you need to be,
Laying down or seated,
Whatever is right for you.
And close your eyes.
Let's begin with a nice,
Gentle deep breath in and out and another in and out and one more breath in and exhale and keep breathing.
Following this rhythm,
You may feel you have a lot of stress within you.
It could be built up in a place in your body,
Whether it's your back,
Your neck,
Your feet or stomach.
Notice where you are carrying the stress and if it's concentrated in a specific area and if it's everywhere,
That's just fine for well-being.
Releasing it and melting it away.
Continuing to breathe and exhaling,
Feeling more calm and tuned in to where the stress is within you at this time.
Allowing it and aware of it.
Stress is part of our human experience.
Very normal but there's a process of letting it go and that's what we're doing right now.
Finding our center,
Using our breath,
Noticing the stress as we release it.
Breathing in and out.
And I invite you to imagine that you are at the top of your head with your awareness and see and feel a beautiful point of light.
You can feel the calmness in it,
Very gentle,
Soothing,
Very peaceful and a perfect temperature.
A very gentle light right above your head that begins to expand in all directions.
Beautiful tranquil light.
So bright and so white.
The purity is something you just know.
There's a calmness to it and a peaceful vibration just above your head extending as far as the eyes can see,
Feeling it,
Noticing it and understanding it.
And breathe.
And with your awareness of this expansive light,
Imagine it now begin to lower and descend upon you,
Around you,
Beyond you in all directions and within you as it descends down through your head,
Your mind,
Down through your nose,
Through your mouth and your jaw,
Through your neck and throat,
Descending upon your shoulders and into your chest.
This beautiful energy is healing you and melting away your stress,
Calming you as it descends further and further through your torso and your rib cage,
Along your arms,
Your elbows,
Down through your forearms,
Hands and fingers,
All the way through your stomach and lower back,
Feeling everything melting away,
Letting it all go down through your waist and your pelvic region,
Through your legs,
Your knees,
Releasing and easing down through your shins,
And calves,
Into your heels,
Your feet,
Your toes and into the ground.
This peaceful and healing energy of light that's melting away all the stress,
Releasing all the tension as you drift deeper and deeper into this beautiful relaxed state of being.
As you continue this beautiful breathing pattern,
Feeling so calm,
Let's sit and be with this energy for a few minutes in the silence,
Letting anything that needs to be released continue to melt away into the atmosphere.
As you continue to breathe with each inhale and exhale,
So relaxed and so free of all the stress and the tension from head to toe,
You are clear,
So free and calm as you let everything go and you found your center again.
Not only that,
This energy that has descended upon you and throughout your being has strengthened your inner ability to withstand all of the challenges you face.
They may come and they will,
But that's okay because deep within you is this profound and serene strength to withstand and to hold steady,
Free of tension and stress,
So calm and centered.
Breathing and releasing,
Have an awareness that this serenity is always within you and as you face challenges and move through your day,
You can bring your awareness back to your breath and the energy you have created in this moment right now.
Breathing and releasing,
So free and calm,
But for now we can gently let this all go,
Knowing that you can always come back to this space whenever you need.
Beginning to feel your body,
Moving your feet,
Loosening your legs,
Gently shifting in your seat,
Expanding your back,
Stomach and chest,
Gently easing the shoulders,
Moving your arms,
Wiggling your hands and your fingers,
Clear your throat if you need,
Relaxing your jaw and noticing the peacefulness and the ease within your headspace that's so calm and ready.
Breathing in and out,
Another breath in and out,
And one more big deep breath in and out.
The stress has melted away and you are ready to come back to your space.
