A bad day can be scary when you have other mental health concerns. It can feel like the beginning of something worse, and a lot of negative thoughts can quickly emerge. This brief 2-minute audio is intended to be a reminder that sometimes we all just have off days, and that's okay. Suitable for anyone, with a particular focus on common thoughts for those with past trauma. This is spoken in the first-person, and is set to calm cheerful music. Sometimes,

A bad day is just a bad day.

We all have them now and then.

A bad day doesn't mean I'm a bad person.

I haven't lost the learning and growing I have worked so hard on.

A bad day does not erase all of who I am.

A bad day doesn't mean that I am now falling into the abyss.

It doesn't mean tomorrow will also be bad.

This is not catastrophic.

It's okay to stay in bed,

Not get my errands done,

Or to order fast food.

None of these things will end the world.

These are normal things people do all the time.

It's okay if I need to cancel my plans.

I can choose to watch TV and eat cheesecake or whatever it is I want to do.

It truly doesn't matter in the best way.

My productivity does not define my worth.

All emotions are okay.

I don't need to judge how I feel.

I know that bad days don't last forever.

Very soon,

I will feel something different.

I believe in the future and my place in it.

Great little track, which I often scrolled by and dismissed as too short but it is a fabulous way of saying to myself " so what if I did nothing today" Upbeat music, kinda cute, and it turned that frown upside down 😀
