Hi,
And welcome.
Thanks for joining me in this space.
My name is Melissa,
And today I'll be guiding you in a brief grounding meditation,
Inviting you to close your eyes and get comfortable.
Maybe roll your shoulders a few times.
If you needed to do any wiggling,
Go ahead and get those wiggles out.
Let your shoulders drop and your heart open.
Allow your breath to become easy and full.
Feel your spine lengthen.
Imagine that you can effortlessly lift yourself up as you're rooting yourself down.
Bring your awareness to your heart.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Inviting you to come more fully into your body.
You are here.
You are present.
You are safe.
Can you give yourself permission to be with whatever is here for you in this moment?
Long,
Deep breathing.
Connecting to your breath.
Bring your attention to the bottom of your feet,
And imagine yourself growing roots from the soles of your feet all the way into the earth.
You might feel a tingling sensation,
Warmth,
Pulsating as the energy moves.
Feel what you feel.
Just notice.
Imagine a tree trunk or a beautiful waterfall connecting at your hips and grounding deeply into the earth.
Focus on your breath as you connect more deeply to yourself and continue to ground your energy.
If thoughts come up,
That's okay.
Just notice and bring yourself back to your breath.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
No need to resist the thoughts.
The more you can notice without judgment,
The more space you create for yourself.
Your awareness will deepen.
You are not your thoughts.
Long,
Deep breathing.
We'll spend a few more moments together before we come out of meditation.
Checking in with how you're feeling now from when you started meditation.
Noticing how you're feeling.
Can you invite any areas of your body to soften?
Can you breathe into these spaces?
Connecting to your heart.
Connecting to your breath.
So grateful for you and sharing this practice with you today.
Give yourself so much gratitude for showing up for yourself in this beautiful way.
When you're ready,
Maybe give yourself a gentle stretch.
Or maybe you need a not so gentle shake.
Wiggle your feet.
Wiggle your hands.
Slowly open your eyes and come on back.
Thank you so much for sharing this space with me and I hope to see you soon.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
