Hi and welcome.

My name is Melissa,

And I'm so grateful to share this space with you today I'll be guiding you in a meditation.

I will offer an invitation to look at how you can show up more authentically in life Authenticity has been such a huge part of my journey and Learning to show up more authentically in each space of my life continues to unfold Something I've noticed on my path is we're often asked to be a Certain way in one space and a certain way in another space and there's also there's often a lot of editing that may be asked of us whether we're even conscious of that ask and so peeling those layers of What is and is not true for us as individuals is such a huge Liberating part of the awakening journey,

So honoring you wherever you are And I want to start out with a beautiful quote by Brene Brown She says that true belonging is the practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and Find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness True belonging does not require you to change who you are.

It requires you to be who you are So savoring those words of wisdom Go ahead and close your eyes and get comfortable Let your shoulders relax Let your heart lift Allow your breath to become easy and full Fill your spine lengthen Maybe even take a nice stretch if that feels good for you Imagine that you can effortlessly lift yourself up as you're brooding yourself down deep into the earth Bring your awareness to your heart Bring your awareness to your breath Inviting you to come fully into your body Fully into all that's present for you in this moment Tuning in to any sensations you're feeling in your body Maybe noticing if there's any areas of tension or pain or holding Can you breathe into these spaces?

Can you soften?

Feel your feet connect with the earth and Imagine yourself growing roots You might feel a tingling sensation warmth pulsating as the energy moves You might feel nothing at all.

All is okay.

Feel what you feel coming back to your breath long deep breathing Focusing on your breath as you connect more deeply within and continue to ground your energy Continuing to come more fully into this present moment into your body If thoughts come up,

That's okay That's what they do Just notice and bring your attention back to your breath Maybe you even put your thoughts in a bubble or on a leaf Say goodbye.

Watch them float on by No need to resist the thoughts just notice The more you can notice without judgment the more space you create for yourself Your awareness for deep in and beautiful ways You are not your thoughts Connecting with your breath Inviting you to join me and place your hands on your heart really connect with your beautiful heart space that wisdom that inner knowing and Take a couple breaths and tune in here And then I have a couple questions for you to pose to yourself and you can either say it out loud and say it to yourself and Then offering space when you're done if you feel like journaling about it.

It's always a beautiful option So with your hands on your heart tuning in ask yourself How can I give myself permission to be more authentic?

How can I give myself permission to be more authentic Where in my life am I being asked to be more fully me?

Where in my life am I being asked to be more fully me?

Continuing to connect to your heart space Connecting to your breath and allowing these answers to arise from deep within you Giving yourself a few more moments of silence and stillness before we end our practice today Connecting back to Bernays words of wisdom before we come out of meditation True belonging does not require that you change who you are.

It requires that you be who you are Inviting you to be present with whatever is here for you in this moment Long deep breathing So grateful to share this practice with you today When you're ready gently move your body Maybe stretch a bit slowly open your eyes and come on back and Then extending an invitation to you before we end this meditation Over the next few days See if you can bring any new awareness that you've discovered in this meditation into your daily life Allow new layers to unfold and get curious Notice if there's any opportunities for you to be more authentic To be more fully you Thanks so much for joining me in this space and I hope to see you soon Sending you so much love.
