Safe.
It's safe here.
It feels like both home and a magical path of adventure and possibilities.
But my body remembers.
It remembers past words,
Past hurts,
All the heavy pain it's held.
It's scared of the new,
Scared of change.
So I hold my body.
I help it be in this moment.
I help it soften.
I help it feel the beauty and joy that is both already here and waiting for me.
A soothing sigh,
A deep breath,
A vigorous shake,
Dancing,
Singing,
Living fully and freely.
It's safe here.
It's safe to be me.
It's safe to be in my body.
And in that rooted safety,
I bloom.
