Hello Grand Rising.
Find a comfortable seated position in a space where you can be free of distractions.
Sit up nice and tall so that your spine is long but not so that you are rigid or stiff.
Allow yourself to be able to relax here.
We're breathing.
So begin to take an intentional breath in through your nose as you count to four.
With your body full of breath,
Hold for another count of four.
Then from your nose,
Slowly release the breath again as you count to four.
And with your body void of breath,
Hold for another count of four.
I'm going to repeat this box breathing exercise.
Feel as your body relaxes between the breaths.
With the body full or the body empty,
Notice the sensations.
If your mind drifts off or you begin to lose count,
Simply smile,
Forgive your mind for being distracted and gently bring yourself back to the practice.
Start again.
When you've completed your last cycle,
Just begin a conscious breath with no holds,
A mindful inhale and an intentional exhale.
Steady the breath,
Steady the mind.
Every moment,
Each breath is a new opportunity to shift your focus and thoughts to a more positive and optimistic outlook.
We don't always have the luxury of choosing what happens to us,
But we always get to choose how we react to what is happening.
We cannot control how others think of us,
But we can control how we think of ourselves.
And we have all that we need right here,
Right now.
Everything in life is just a series of decisions.
Right now you,
Here,
Breathing,
Inhaling and exhaling with mindfulness,
It was a decision you made to give to yourself,
To make today a better day,
To give yourself some peace,
To show yourself some kindness,
So you can show up as your most aligned self today.
This decision is a beautiful because it will help you design your entire day as you move forward.
Together,
Let's repeat a mantra.
I am in control of my own thoughts,
My reactions,
And my emotions.
I am in control of my own thoughts,
My reactions,
And my emotions.
Continue to repeat the mantra in your mind or out loud.
And if your mind slips away,
Just smile,
Notice the thought that enters,
Let it go,
And start again with the mantra.
I am in control of my own thoughts,
My reactions,
And my emotions.
Come back to your body,
To your breath,
To this present moment.
Release the mantra from your mind.
Remember this feeling that you have right now.
This decision to gift yourself the time to be still,
With loving kindness,
Gifting yourself the power from within to be in control of your own life.
Try to remember this practice when you are feeling caught up in life's dramas and heartaches,
When you are fixating on a negative situation or just can't seem to quiet the mind.
Come back to this quiet space and remember,
You are all in control of your own thoughts,
Reactions,
And emotions.
We are the ones in control of our own lives.
Thank you for joining me and for giving your safe self the space for peace that you deserve.
Namaste.
