As you settle in,
I want to remind you that you don't need to change anything yet.
Just notice that you're here.
Maybe you're just waking up,
Maybe your mind is already moving,
But for now I want to ask you to slow it all down,
To take a deeper breath in and allow yourself to softly exhale out.
Let your body know that it is safe to let go,
To relax and to receive.
And as you continue deepening your breath,
Let your body take the lead.
As a sensitive person,
You might already feel a lot in this moment,
Thoughts,
Emotions,
Sensations and maybe even things that don't fully feel like yours.
It is important to recognize that sensitivity is not a curse.
It is a highly intelligent,
Responsive nervous system,
One that picks up information from your environment.
But not everything you feel belongs to you.
So,
Let us begin here by bringing your awareness into your body,
Noticing how you feel.
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your hips,
Your shoulders,
Your jaw,
On the back of your head,
Allow yourself to feel and ask yourself which sensations do I notice right now,
And which of those are mine.
You don't need to answer with your mind.
Let your body respond as there is an intelligence in you that already knows.
And you can feel a subtle yes or no.
Maybe something feels heavy,
Contracted or restless,
And you don't need to push it away.
Stay with it for a moment.
Can you sense what your body is trying to communicate to you?
Perhaps it is a physical sensation first that turns into a color,
A knowing,
An image,
A memory that comes back.
Listen carefully to the information your body is sharing with you.
Take one more deeper breath in,
And slowly exhale out,
Meeting yourself exactly where you are.
Reminding yourself that you can feel deeply and still stay close to yourself.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes,
And I want to leave you with the invitation to let your body guide you today.
Return back to this practice throughout your day,
Or whenever you feel like you need a pause to feel and return to simplicity.
