Welcome to this grounding meditation.
I want to invite you to close your eyes,
Bring yourself to a place of stillness,
Straighten your back,
Find a comfortable position and feel the gravity pulling down to the earth.
Feel how your legs are touching the ground and your clothes.
Let's take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
One more deep breath in and out.
Let's repeat a couple more times,
Feeling the air going into our nostrils,
Feeling up our lungs,
Our chest and flowing right back through our chest out.
Let's tune into our body,
Releasing all the tension,
Becoming aware of the parts in your body where you might be holding on to certain emotions or feelings.
We just observe and accept them as they are,
As if it were clouds passing by.
We notice them,
But just like that they float away.
Let's tune in on how we're feeling today and how our body is feeling today.
We observe our mind,
Our head,
Our eyes,
Nose and mouth,
The back of our head and our neck.
Maybe there is some tension in the shoulders,
Our arms,
Forearms and hands,
Our chest,
Our heart,
Our stomach,
Our lower abdominal region,
Our hips and our sexual organs,
Down to our legs,
Ankles,
Feet and toes.
Release all tension,
Come back to your calm state of being.
Now let's focus on our feet,
As these are parts of our body that keep us always connected to the earth,
To the ground.
Imagine as through your feet roots were growing down into the earth.
They keep on expanding and growing underneath,
Going through layers and layers of earth and rocks,
Until they come to the center of our earth,
To the core.
Through these roots travel our tension,
Our fears,
Our worries and we let the earth support us,
Calm us and nurture us.
As you imagine these roots growing down into the earth,
You already feel a relief,
A soothing.
Once the roots have come to the core of the earth,
We feel the energy of the earth grounding us and traveling through the roots up again,
Into our feet and into our body.
We recharge with this grounding energy from the earth,
All the way to our legs,
Our sexual organs,
Our lungs,
Our heart,
Our throat and our mind.
When you feel the warm and calming energy expanding,
Repeat the following affirmations out loud or to yourself.
I am grounded.
I am centered and I am calm.
The energy of the earth flows through me.
I am protected and I am safe.
Deep inner peace is my natural state.
I feel safe in my body.
I trust myself and I trust whatever comes to my path is for my highest good.
Take a moment to feel these affirmations and how they resonate into your body.
Take one more nourishing deep breath in and exhale to release.
Return to the sensations of your body.
Wiggle your toes,
Your hands and when you're ready,
Come back to the room you're in.
