Yoga Nidra With Triangles Of Energy

This is a spacious nidra practice with a fair bit of silence and an extended breath work section where we move the awareness along energy lines in time with the breath. It ends with resting in the heart space.

Welcome to this yoga nidra which is really focused on moving the awareness with the breath and working with the energetic body.

So as we go through the breath work in this nidra,

Your breath might want to lengthen,

It might want to shorten,

It might want to stay the same.

Just allowing your breath to do whatever it wants to do,

So just really flowing with your experience.

So just always following the natural rhythm of the breath,

Letting the breath go longer,

Letting the breath go shorter,

Letting the breath do whatever it wants to do.

So let's start off by getting comfortable,

So maybe lying down on your back or choosing another position that feels better for you and making any small adjustments that you need to make to your body to get yourself as comfortable as you can possibly be.

And then softening the muscles in your face,

Allowing the tongue to unlock and unwind,

Relaxing your arms,

Relaxing your legs,

Allowing the whole body to soften and let go.

Maybe making some long exhalations,

Breathing out like a sigh of relief.

And then we come to a phase of moving the awareness around the body.

And as I name a body part,

Seeing or feeling light in that part of the body.

It might be a golden light,

Might be a white light,

Maybe blue or any colour at all,

Just see what comes for you.

Seeing that light shining,

Radiating from the top of your head.

The left ear,

The right ear,

A triangle of light pointing up between the top of the head and the two ears.

The left eye,

Radiating light,

The right eye,

The throat,

And a triangle of light pointing down between the two eyes and the throat.

The tongue,

The teeth,

The lips,

The nose,

The forehead,

The back of the head,

Light shining in the whole head.

Coming to the left shoulder,

The left elbow,

The left wrist,

The left hand,

Light shining in the whole left arm.

The right shoulder,

The right elbow,

The right hand,

The whole right arm shining,

Radiating light.

And feeling a triangle between the right hand,

The top of the head,

And the left hand.

Triangle of light pointing upwards.

And then inside that triangle,

Light shining from the third eye in between the eyebrows.

Light shining from the throat.

The heart space radiating light.

Light in the solar plexus.

Light in the navel.

Light shining from the lower belly.

Coming to the left hip,

The left knee,

The left ankle,

The left foot.

Light shining in the whole left leg.

And the right hip,

The right knee,

The right ankle,

The right foot,

The whole right leg radiating light.

And feeling a triangle between the space in between the feet,

And the left hand,

And the right hand.

And feeling the whole head filled with light,

The whole left arm,

The whole right arm,

The whole left leg,

The whole right leg.

The whole body filled with light.

The whole body radiating light.

And then becoming aware of a triangle between the base of the nose and the third eye in between the eyebrows.

And as you breathe in,

The light and the awareness travels up the left side of the nose to the third eye.

And as you breathe out,

It travels down the right side.

And then inhaling,

The light and the awareness travel up the right side,

And exhaling down the left side.

And continuing with this pattern in your own time.

Going forward.

And then letting go of the triangle in the nose.

And becoming aware of a bigger triangle between the tips of the fingers and the third eye.

And in the same way as you inhale the light and the awareness,

Travel up the left arm to the third eye and as you exhale traveling down the right arm and then inhaling traveling back up the right arm to the third eye and exhaling traveling down the left arm and continuing in your own time,

Letting your breath just breathe at the rate it wants to breathe.

And then letting go of the triangle in the arms and coming to a bigger triangle between the tips of your toes and your third eye and in the same way on the inhalation the light and the awareness travel up the left leg all the way to the third eye and as you exhale travel down the right leg and inhaling traveling up the right leg to the third eye and exhaling traveling down the left leg and continuing in your own time.

And then letting go of the triangle in the legs and coming back to the triangle in the arms and this time on the inhalation traveling up both arms at the same time to the third eye and exhaling traveling back down again following the natural rhythm of your breath.

And then letting go of the triangle in the arms and coming back to the triangle in the nose and in the same way the awareness and the light travel up both sides of the nose to the third eye on the inhale and exhaling traveling back down again inhaling traveling up both sides of the nose to the third eye in between the eyebrows and exhaling traveling back down again.

And then letting go of the awareness of the breath and coming to rest in your heart space.

Maybe you see light there radiating out of the heart maybe you can feel sensations maybe you can feel vibration maybe you can hear a silent sound there whatever your experience resting in the heart.

And then slowly slowly as you are ready coming back to a feeling of the body lying in the space feeling the surface supporting you maybe taking a deeper breath in and as you are ready inviting small movements back to your fingers and your toes your ankles and your wrists maybe stretching your arms over your head yawning or sighing maybe hugging your knees up towards your chest and rocking gently from side to side and then rolling over onto one side and then when you're ready coming up to sitting inhaling reaching the arms up and then exhaling bringing your hands together by your heart and thank you very much.
