During this meditation, we will connect with the five elements as they exist within the body (air, earth, water, fire, and space.) It includes gentle breathwork, a body scan, and visualization. Please join me in this tranquil and grounding practice.

Hello beautiful soul.

This is a five elements meditation where we will connect with each of the five elements as they exist within our own body.

Earth,

Water,

Fire,

Air,

And space.

As we begin,

I invite you to find your most comfortable position,

Whether that's sitting or laying down,

And I invite you to close your eyes and simply begin to notice the breath.

Bringing your awareness to the breath,

Witnessing the rise and fall of the chest,

Expansion of the breath with each inhale,

Contraction with each exhale.

Just noticing the breath entering and leaving the nostrils,

Cool sensation in the nose and the throat as you inhale,

And the warm sensation on the upper lip as you exhale.

Noticing all the sensations of the breath,

And by bringing awareness to our breath,

We can bring the air element into balance.

Feeling the harmony that comes when the air element is in balance.

Maybe you feel calm,

Loving,

And compassionate.

Now begin to bring your awareness to your hands,

Seeing if you can notice a subtle feeling of aliveness in the hands.

Maybe it feels like a slight tingling sensation,

An energy that's present.

Just noticing,

Becoming aware of the wrists,

The elbows,

The upper arms,

And the shoulders.

Noticing the neck and the chin,

Becoming aware of the mouth and the nose.

Noticing your eyes,

Your eyebrows,

And the forehead.

Becoming aware of the top of the head,

Moving your attention to the back of the head,

The neck,

And the shoulders.

Allowing the shoulders to relax down,

Noticing the upper back,

The middle back,

And the lower back.

Becoming aware of the hips,

And where the hips and the legs meet the surface beneath you.

Becoming aware of the thighs,

The knees,

The calves,

The ankles,

And the feet.

Seeing if you can notice that same feeling of aliveness in the feet,

Slight tingling,

Or an energy that's present.

And see if you can notice that energy in the feet and the hands at the same time.

Maybe you're even able to notice that feeling of aliveness in the entire body at the same time.

An energy that's present,

Feeling the harmony that comes when the earth element is in balance.

Maybe you feel grounded,

Safe,

And strong.

Now taking a moment to picture the blood rushing through your veins,

As well as the water that is present in the body.

The body being made of 80% water.

Thanking the heart for pumping,

Thanking the body and organs for keeping us alive.

Picturing the water that exists within you,

Knowing that water is extremely influenced by sound.

So the music that we're listening to now is influencing the molecules of the body in a positive way.

Feeling the harmony that comes when the water element is in balance.

Maybe you feel free,

Light,

And at peace.

Now beginning to become aware of the warmth in the body.

The warmth that it radiates.

Simply noticing the warm sensation on the upper lip as you exhale.

By bringing your awareness to the warmth in the body,

You can bring the fire element into balance.

Just noticing our life force and the warmth that it expels from the body.

The energy that is present.

Feeling the harmony that comes when the fire element is in balance.

Maybe you feel creative,

Alive,

And vibrant.

Now beginning to picture roots forming from the hips and the legs.

With each inhale they grow larger,

And with each exhale they sink deeper into the earth.

Allowing yourself to be held by the earth and the surface beneath you.

Feeling grounded and safe.

Now simply begin to notice the space around you.

Realizing that our energetic fields have been measured,

And some say radiate up to 10 feet around us.

Just noticing that space.

See if you can witness or picture the energetic field around you,

Like you're existing in a cocoon of energy.

Now see if you can expand that energy.

Expand it as big as you'd like.

Maybe to the person or the animal next to you.

Maybe it expands to the size of the room,

The size of your home.

Maybe it encapsulates your entire city,

Your state,

Or your whole country.

Maybe even the whole world.

Sending whoever it touches love and light.

Now allowing that energy to return to us.

Coming back into the body,

Feeling the harmony that comes when the space element is in balance.

Feel at one with everything else around you.

Connected.

You are a part of the same five elements that exist in nature.

Experiencing the feeling of being in harmony with the nature within you and around you.

Now going to repeat some affirmations.

You're welcome to repeat them with me if you're in a safe environment to do so,

Or you can just listen along.

I am creative.

I am strong.

I am safe.

I am connected.

I am grounded.

I am at peace.

May there be peace and harmony within you always.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be joyous and at ease.
