Self-love doesn't come from a box.
It doesn't come from a pill.
It can't be prescribed to us.
It's something we must reach for.
I know it may feel like a foreign concept.
We're used to looking in the mirror and pointing out all of the things we wish were different.
But what if you looked in that mirror and you held your body and you pointed out everything that you love?
Because I'm here to tell you,
You are worthy,
Beautiful,
And whole right now.
You need nothing to be worthy.
You are intrinsically worthy and enough.
You are everything.
That worth that you're seeking from outside of you.
It's already here.
It already lives within you.
Please find a comfortable seat.
This can be laying down or seated in your favorite chair.
Let's take two deep breaths together.
Maybe placing your hand on your heart and take a long,
Deep inhale.
Hold it for a moment at the top of your inhale.
And slowly exhale.
Slowly,
Slowly.
And again,
Inhaling.
Hold for a moment at the top of your inhale.
And exhale,
Making that exhale twice as long as your inhale.
Sinking down into the earth.
Relaxing.
Releasing.
As we begin this meditation,
With every affirmation,
If it feels right to do so,
Please repeat the affirmation either silently into yourself or aloud if you're in a safe environment to do so.
Repeating this affirmation as the truth.
And whatever comes up,
May it be tears,
May it be laughter,
A smile,
Whatever it is,
Just let it be there without judgment.
If you haven't done so already,
Please place the palms of your hands on your heart.
You might be able to feel your heart beating beneath your palms.
This heart is so worthy.
Let's begin here.
I love my heart.
I love my character.
I love my mind.
I love my creativity.
I love my humor.
I love my kindness.
I love my laugh.
I love my imagination.
I love my resilience.
I love my strength.
I love my ability to see the good in others.
I love my ability to love others.
I love my hair.
I love my hair color,
No matter my age.
I love my skin tone.
I embrace and cherish the pigmentations of my skin.
I love my scars.
My literal scars as they show a life lived.
And my metaphorical scars as they made me into this person.
And I love this person.
I love my blemishes.
I love my imperfections.
I love my freckles.
I love my arms.
I love thinking about everything my arms have carried.
I love my hands.
I love everything this life has given me the ability to hold.
I love my belly.
I love my temples.
I love how my body bends,
Creases,
Folds,
And rolls.
I love my hips and my thighs.
I love my legs.
I am so thankful for these legs and everywhere they have carried me.
I love my feet.
I am so grateful and I love everywhere I have had the ability to walk.
I love my nails.
I love my ears.
I am so grateful for all of the sounds I have had the pleasure to witness.
All of the music I have had the pleasure to experience.
I love my eyes.
I love the color of my eyes.
I love the shape of my eyes.
I am so grateful for everything this life has given me the ability to see.
I love my nose.
I am so grateful for all of the beautiful fragrances I have been able to experience.
I love my mouth,
Lips,
And teeth.
I am so grateful for all of the wonderful foods I have had the pleasure of tasting.
I love my lungs.
I am so grateful that they continue to rise and fall.
I love my stomach.
I am so thankful for its ability to digest.
I love my kidneys.
I love my liver.
I thank my liver for keeping my body clean.
I love my soul.
I love my spirit.
I love myself.
If your hand has fallen down by your side,
Please place it on your heart once more.
Inhaling deeply.
Holding it for a moment at the top of your inhale.
And exhale completely.
I am whole.
I am worthy.
I am enough.
I am everything.
I am loved.
Namaste.
