The end.

Begin by finding a comfortable position.

Put your hands on your belly.

Feel your body,

The warmth of your body,

And put your attention on the life within you.

You can set an intention to connect with your baby.

As you set this intention,

Let some words come that you'd like to say to your baby.

It can be anything.

Your intentions for your pregnancy and delivery,

Your intentions for your baby's well-being,

Your intentions for your baby's life.

You can continue to have your hands on your belly during this meditation if you'd like,

Or you can allow them to rest easily in your lap or at your sides.

Now close your eyes.

Notice what you're feeling with your eyes closed.

Notice what's going on around you.

Feel the weight of your body.

Slowly bring your attention to your body,

Allowing your body to be in your awareness.

As you listen to this meditation,

Thoughts will come and go.

It doesn't matter.

You don't need to resist thoughts or try to push them out.

Just allow yourself to focus easily on the meditation.

Again,

Bring your attention to your body.

What are you feeling in your body?

What kinds of emotions are you experiencing?

May it be present to your emotions,

To the sensations in your body,

Not resisting anything,

Not trying to change anything.

You're in the embrace of life.

Nutrition is circulating through your body into your baby.

Nutrition is circulating through your body into your baby.

Your breath is your baby's breath.

Now bring your attention to your breath.

Notice the in and out of the breath.

Feel how your body moves as it breathes.

Be easily aware of the experience of breathing,

The feeling of the air as it moves in and out of your nose,

The way your chest moves as you breathe,

The way your belly moves as you breathe.

Bring your attention to your belly.

Let it relax,

Let it feel soft and open,

And allow the breath to move into your belly.

The in-breath brings life to you and your baby all at once.

Let the breath move through you and into your belly,

And let it fill your baby with the energy of life.

As you breathe out,

Just relax into the exhalation of the breath as it carries away what isn't needed.

Cleansing.

As you continue the meditation,

You can bring your awareness to the breath at any time or simply let that go.

Now bring your attention to your baby.

How do you sense your baby?

Let your attention be fully with the feeling of your baby inside of you.

Notice what you feel as you connect with your baby,

And know that everything that you feel is just perfect,

Even if there's some worries,

Some tension having to do with having a baby,

That's fine.

What's important is being connected with your child,

Being open.

In this meditation,

We're creating intimacy so you can be present to yourself and your emotions and present to the feeling of your baby.

Let your belly relax and be open,

And notice the feeling of the baby inside you.

In this relaxation,

Everything opens up,

Nourishing your baby.

The oxygen you breathe goes to your baby.

Everything you've eaten circulates in the blood to your baby.

Continue having an easy focus on the baby within you.

Notice what you feel,

Not resisting anything,

Not trying to change anything,

Knowing that everything is all right.

Now bring your attention to the area of your heart.

Notice what you're feeling in the area of your heart.

If you notice any tension in your body anywhere,

Shoulders,

Neck,

Anywhere,

Let it go,

Let it relax.

Let your awareness sink deep into the area of your heart.

The heart is where you feel love,

Connection.

Notice the caring in your heart for your baby,

The wish for the welfare of your baby.

Allow those feelings to flow to your baby.

You can imagine a connection from your heart to your womb.

Imagine your baby being in your heart.

Just allowing the baby to rest in that heart energy.

Now bring your attention again to your belly,

Your womb,

The baby inside you.

Let yourself and the baby be one,

No separation between you.

Now if you'd like to,

You can send a message to your baby or just continue to sit in this feeling of presence and oneness.

Feel the life energy circulating in your body.

Breathe it in and let it nourish you and your baby at once.

Now it's time to end the meditation.

Bring your attention to your whole body.

Now you can start to move around,

Stretch a little,

Take some deep breaths,

Come out of meditation slowly,

Knowing that this connection will continue.

Take your time and when you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.
