Hi guys,
So this is my first live,
Welcome,
Welcome.
We'll be doing a little bit of meditation,
A little bit of movement today.
Thanks for joining,
Thanks for joining.
Hi.
So we'll just give it a few more minutes to see if anyone wants to join,
But today we'll be doing a little bit of meditation involving some breath work and a little bit of body movement because this time of the year can be hard on everybody,
Even if it's a good year.
So I just wanted to get back into our bodies,
Realign ourselves and hopefully start today with a fresher positive outlook.
So I'm feeling a little bit nervous,
But I just wanted to let you know that I'll be joining along in this space with you as well.
So if there are moments or times where I'm moving around or there's less direction,
It's only because I am doing it alongside with you,
But feel free to leave any comments or any feedback because as I said,
This is my first.
Alright guys,
So let's begin.
Take the time now to get into a comfortable position,
Whatever that means for you.
You may want to lay down,
You may want to stand,
You may want to sit nice and tall and proper,
But whatever feels comfortable for you.
Allow your breath to bring you into your body.
May you notice that every breath is deeper and bigger than the one before it.
Sometimes in moments of stress,
Especially me in particular,
I hold a lot of tension in my chest and my upper shoulders.
I just want to take this time now to breathe in deep and incorporate some slow,
Gentle movement.
For me,
This includes rolling my shoulders.
I can find myself judging my own body,
Questioning why I am so tense and stressed,
But instead of coming from a place of judgement,
Or sorry,
Non-judgment or compassion,
I judge my stress,
I judge my tension,
But I want to take this moment now to love it instead.
This may be hard for your body and your mind to link the two together.
I understand,
Sometimes it's hard for me too,
But it's easy to incorporate mantras and affirmations in this time.
So,
I would like you to incorporate the biggest breath you've ever had.
Again.
This time,
On your breath,
I would like you to add a little bit of movement.
Add your breath and movement together,
But with every exhale of your breath,
I would like you to incorporate this mantra.
I am alive.
My body is magnificent.
My body is capable of amazing things.
My body keeps me safe.
My body keeps me strong.
My body keeps me alive.
And I would like to now take the time to thank my body.
Thank you for keeping me alive.
Thank you for keeping me feminine.
Thank you for allowing my masculinity.
Thank you for the breath that I can breathe in.
And with every breath,
I am grateful,
Because it means I am alive and I can start again.
Mor Lou just Now,
I would encourage you to take another deep breath.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Take the time now to notice any spots of tension in your body.
But notice them without judgement.
Do not judge our bodies.
It is the only thing we'll have for life.
Our bodies are to be loved.
Our bodies are to be supported.
Our bodies are to keep us feeling alive.
Do not judge your tension.
Just be mindful of it.
When you are mindful of your tension,
You can change it.
Whether that's incorporating some movement,
Some breath work,
Or even some affirmations.
Take the time now to centre yourself.
Any movements you may have been moving in,
Try and slow them down.
Make them graceful.
Is there a way that you can incorporate touch or a self-soothing body massage in this moment?
Sometimes it's nice to repeat affirmations when you're soothing yourself.
I am balanced.
I am kind.
I am capable.
I am loved.
Alright ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to start closing up the session.
But before we do so,
I would encourage you to put your hand on your heart if comfortable.
And take a moment of reflection.
Thank yourself for being here.
For showing up for yourself at some of the busiest times of the years.
And just know,
If you ever feel tense or tight in your body,
Just take five minutes to come back to centre yourself.
