Lesson 1
Meditation With Hymns: Inner Peace
Meditation with hymns combines the practice of meditation with the uplifting and inspirational power of hymns. It can enhance the experience of meditation and help you connect with your spirituality.
Inner Peace meditation is a powerful tool for cultivating a sense of calm and tranquility within oneself. This type of meditation involves focusing on the present moment and letting go of any thoughts or worries that may be causing stress or anxiety.
Let's start our meditation practice with a hymn that has a slow and gentle melody and listen to it with your eyes closed. As you listen, focus on your breath and notice any thoughts or feelings that arise. Simply observe them without judgment or attachment, and let them pass. Remember, I will first say the words of the hymn and allow you to write them down if you desire to do so. Then, once we begin the meditation with the hymn/music track, I will say or sing the phrases twice, then just allow the music to play. During this time, if you wish, you can say or sing the phrases out loud or silently or just flow with the music.
