This meditation is for when you need more flow in your day or in your life.
Let's start.
Take a deep breath with a slow exhale.
Close your eyes.
Bring your attention to the center of your head,
Where it's a little quieter and easier to focus.
Picture a lagoon with fine white sand.
It is soft to the touch.
The water is clear and inviting.
The sun is just above the sea line with flashes of pink,
Gold,
And orange.
You can feel its gentle warmth on your skin.
You hear the sound of gentle waves,
And you feel a soft breeze blowing on your face and into your hair.
Feel your body soften and relax.
You decide to slowly walk towards the water.
With each step,
Feel your foot sink into the warm,
Soft sand.
Feel the granular yet soft texture of the sand rubbing against your feet.
You keep walking slowly,
And you start feeling the sand under your feet getting humid and heavier all the way until you get to the water.
You step into the warm water,
And both your feet are immersed.
It feels relaxing and inviting.
You feel your feet soften and relax.
You take another step into the water,
And now the water is all the way to your knees,
Gently massaging your lower leg.
You feel yourself really relaxing.
So you keep going,
And now the water is all the way to your waist,
And you feel the gentle flow of the warm waves melting your lower body.
It's like the water is washing away any tension,
Taking it away,
And it feels easy and relaxing.
So you decide to immerse your whole body into the water,
And you feel the warm water and that gentle flow all around you,
Around your head,
Your neck,
Everywhere.
And all the tension and all the energy you no longer need is taken away by the water,
All the way into the depths of the ocean bed.
Feel the water taking away all your thoughts,
Your feelings,
And energy that you don't need right now.
They might not even be yours to begin with,
So you decide to let go of all of them.
You feel the water taking them all away,
Your entire body softens,
And you feel release.
You bring your head back out of the water,
Leaving your body immersed,
And you realize how good it feels to be in this lagoon,
To be in this warm water.
So now,
Imagine yourself floating.
Very easily,
Without effort,
Your body is just floating.
You don't need to swim or move.
Just imagine your body magically floating,
And feel your breathing becoming slow and steady.
Feel your body being light and relaxed.
You let your body gently sway with each small wave,
Easily,
Without effort.
Each wave soothes you further and deepens your breathing.
Now,
Visualize this slow,
Soft wave coming,
And you let your body go with its flow.
Feel your body floating up all the way to the peak.
Really feel yourself floating up there.
The excitement of going up,
The anticipation,
The joy maybe.
Take in those feelings and sensations.
And now,
Feel your body slowly coming down,
All the way down to the lowest part of the wave.
Take a moment to enjoy this.
Feel the wet water on your skin,
The smell of salt,
The lightness of your legs and arms,
The harmony of your body,
The gentle energy of the water around you.
How does it make you feel?
Calm?
Satisfied?
Peaceful?
Whatever it is,
It probably feels good.
So,
As a new wave comes along,
You do the same.
You let your body float up happily,
Easily,
And then you feel the peak and the energy there,
And you take it.
And then,
You float down slowly,
Feeling again that moment of calm,
Peace,
And satisfaction of letting yourself go with the flow.
Letting yourself floating with the water feels good,
And you enjoy this experience.
It is easy,
And you connect more deeply with yourself with each wave.
You realize you've been using each wave to be more present,
And that the flow of this lagoon has power,
Has energy.
Energy that if you let yourself feel it,
Really feel it,
And accept it,
Helps you be happier,
More peaceful,
And free.
So,
You decide to keep floating and flowing,
Looking forward to what each new wave brings,
Knowing you will be harvesting its new energy for a greater,
Bigger,
Or bolder path that feels good.
Take a deep breath.
Open your eyes.
