Good morning.
Finding yourself a safe and comfortable space to either lie down or sit,
Gently allow your eyes to close in this position.
And as you allow the eyes to close,
Begin to attune to the breath and gently breathing in through the nose and exhaling either through the nose or through the mouth.
Just notice the oxygen as it enters the body and on the exhale,
Just allowing it to flow.
Nothing forced,
Just recognizing your breath and coming into this space of groundedness,
Coming into your body,
Just allowing your natural rhythmic breath and observing how it is that you may be feeling in this moment.
And whether you're seated or you're lying down,
I want you to just focus your attention now on the weight of your body against whatever surface you're feeling.
Just noticing the body and how it's feeling against the surface and continuing with a gentle rhythm of a natural breath,
Your natural breath,
Just observing the body in this state.
And as we do a body scan,
Just coming from the crown of the head,
Just moving all the way through the body,
Down the shoulders,
Into the chest,
Into the belly,
Down through the legs,
All the way out through the feet.
Just notice how you're feeling and just spending a few moments in awe of the miracle that is you,
Recognizing how many functions are happening simultaneously,
Just to allow us to simply be here in this position,
In this space,
Recognizing the breath,
The flow of oxygen as it moves through the body,
Fills up the lungs,
It's rejuvenating all the cells,
All the healing that's happening within the miracle that is you,
The millions and trillions of functions that are happening within us at any given moment,
Simply by being here,
Noticing all of these functions and what a miracle it is and how beautiful this is.
And just recognizing the beating of the heart and the blood pumping through all of the body,
All of the functions,
Everything that's working simultaneously,
Just to allow us to be here without really much attention.
And so just pausing in gratitude as we begin the day,
As we allow for new opportunity and endless possibility coming from the space of amazing awe and appreciation for what already is,
What's happening currently,
And for the possibility of what will be.
Looking at this new day as an opportunity and coming back to the breath and just noticing the rise of the chest and noticing on the exhale how it just surrenders gently and having even more appreciation and more gratitude knowing that our great creator,
Our great source is providing us with each of these new breaths,
Recognizing the beauty in the miracle that is you.
And coming back to awareness with immense gratitude,
Bringing your hands in front of you,
In front of your heart,
Palms together in that prayer position and just holding a moment and noticing anything else,
A couple of other things that you may be able to be grateful for in this very moment and taking a nice deep breath and on the exhale just opening up to new possibility.
