This is a special guided meditation to revisit some of the feelings from your inner child.
This is an opportunity to be present with your feelings as an adult and be able to go back and visit memories from the past where you can heal some of the stories that are no longer serving you as an adult.
This is your opportunity to rewrite your story so that it serves you and so that it's part of what makes you the most perfectly imperfect,
Incredible you.
An opportunity to take your power back and to tune in and listen to your needs on a whole new level.
Let's begin.
If you haven't started yet,
You can close your eyes or gaze down,
Bringing your awareness to your nose,
Slowly elongating your breath,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your nose.
If you haven't started yet,
Perhaps you can even feel the hairs in your nose moving ever so slightly on your inhalation and exhalation,
Really elongating your breath,
Slowly and softening.
And from this place of groundedness,
I invite you to bring forward a feeling or an emotion that you're having now as an adult that you know was rooted in your upbringing.
Whether it's a feeling of unworthiness or fear or overwhelm,
Just notice it without judgment,
Observing it like you're a scientist of your own life.
And remembering what was the first memory you had or had with this feeling.
When you were a child,
Can you recall an instance or an experience in which this feeling was amplified?
I invite you to see it almost like it's a movie behind your eyelids,
Observing and watching little you experiencing that feeling,
Those emotions and allowing her to have that experience from a place of compassion and observation.
Notice what's happening in this scene.
Are there other people involved?
Are you alone?
Are you alone in this moment?
Allow yourself to simply observe and notice.
And from this place of loving compassion,
I now invite the present you,
The adult you to make your way into this scene,
Into this space,
Noticing what little you is going through.
The adult you now gets to go over to little you and tell them exactly what they needed to hear at that time.
Give them the love that they deserve.
Tell them what they need to hear to not be so afraid or worried or overwhelmed.
Love on them so hard that this part of your past experience no longer has to feel lonely.
You've got you.
And as we begin to close this scene,
Notice if there's anything little you wants to tell you,
Any final words that adult you wants to let little you know.
Give yourself a loving embrace,
Reminding both of you that you always will come back to love.
You will always listen and respond with compassion.
And you will always be here for you.
And with that love,
I invite you to slowly make your way out of this scene,
Back into the present moment with a smile on your face,
Knowing that this is your gift.
This is your medicine.
You can always go back and change the story.
You can take your power back one story at a time.
Keep giving yourself what you need.
Keep tuning in and listening.
And know that you got you.
