This short heart-havening practice is designed to help you feel comforted, grounded, and held. With your hand on your heart and gentle circular touch, you’ll signal safety to your system and create space for calm to return. As you breathe, you’ll repeat supportive phrases that meet you where you are and remind you you’re not alone with what you’re feeling. Come back whenever you need a moment of grace, reassurance, or a loving reset. Keep coming back as much as you need to.

Hello my friend.

Welcome to this practice on heart havening for comfort.

If you've never used a havening practice before,

This is a wonderful tool that I invite you to use over and over and over again.

When we place our hand on our hearts and we rub in a circular motion,

It produces the same release from your brain as if someone were hugging you,

Providing beautiful comfort,

Connection,

And calm.

So let's begin with havening for yourself.

If you haven't yet,

You can close your eyes or gaze down,

Starting to bring your awareness to your breath,

Just elongating your breath ever so slightly,

And bringing your hand to your heart space,

Connecting with your heart,

And begin by rubbing in a circular motion,

Almost like rubbing a child's back who needs some comfort and love,

But giving that to yourself.

You can go as fast or as slow as feels good to you.

And now give yourself the words that would be comforting for you right now.

Perhaps that sounds like everything's gonna be okay.

I forgive myself.

I know I can make it through this.

Continue with the havening as long as it serves you,

Giving yourself the messages of love that you so deeply need to hear.

Allow yourself that comfort,

Allow yourself that grace,

And bring yourself back to home within yourself.

You've got this,

My friend.

Keep coming back as much as you need it.
