I invite you to find a position that feels comfortable.
You could be sitting or lying down or standing or walking.
Some place where you have minimal distractions.
I invite you to settle into your space wherever you are.
Noticing your body on the furniture or the ground.
And to begin keeping your eyes open.
If you have the ability to see,
I invite you to look around at the space you're in.
If you don't have the ability to see,
I invite you to visualize in a way that feels comfortable to you.
If you're inside,
Look at the walls,
Ceilings,
Windows,
Furniture,
And any other physical objects that are with you right now.
Look at the colors and textures and shape.
Begin to consider all the beings.
All the animals,
People,
Nature.
All of the interconnected beings that work together in so many ways to create this physical space.
The space that you're in right now.
Some beings you might know,
And many probably that are unknown.
Imagine all the people who worked on creating whatever that piece of furniture you're on.
Whatever material it's made out of.
How it arrived to you.
All these beings,
Known and unknown to you,
Yet they are all connected to you and also to each other in creating this particular specific space you're in right now.
It's pretty magical,
No?
The fact that this area,
This room,
This space can come together.
Extend some gratitude to all those beings,
Known and unknown,
That came together to create this space.
To create this magic of interconnection.
To create this magic of creation.
Extending that gratitude out.
Noticing what the experience of gratitude and awe feel like in your body.
No expectations,
Nothing to force.
What is this experience like?
And if you're outside or if there's a window,
And if not you can visualize the outside world.
What do you see?
Maybe there's a tree or two.
And I think many of us forget the magic of trees.
That they're connected to our survival and we're connected to theirs.
Can you find any awe or magic in that?
What else is outside?
Look at the colors.
If there's movement,
If there's sound.
Do you see grass or sky?
Animals?
Any acknowledging,
Any beings that you see that might be alive,
And their ability to grow,
Their ability to thrive and transform.
Can you sense any magic in that?
What other magic can you see or visualize in the outside world?
Things moving and changing,
Nothing's permanent.
Things are always in flux,
In cycles,
In seasons.
Simply notice what you see.
Can you invite in a sense of awe and wonder for whatever's here?
Almost as if you're a baby looking around the world for the first time.
Invite in that beginner's mind.
What is here and can I be curious to what it is and how it makes me feel?
And check in.
Check in with your body and your heart.
How do you feel when you spend some time in awe of nature?
Is it easy to access or does it feel challenging?
No judgment,
No expectation.
Just noticing what the experience is like.
Now I invite you to close your eyes or lower your gaze and move your attention more inward.
And as you do so,
You can invite in a sense of gratitude and awe for your sight,
For the gift of seeing the world,
Or invite in the magic and appreciation of visualization.
And it's kind of magical that you just close your eyes and wow,
There's darkness.
Things have changed pretty quickly.
Begin to bring your attention to the body and the position that it's in.
All the way,
The different parts of your body and mind are working together to make your current position possible.
Can you feel any magic in that?
All the bones and organs and muscles that are allowing you to sit or stand or walk or lie.
And notice if any part of your body feels uncomfortable.
And perhaps you can make a small shift or an adjustment or a big one.
Go ahead and do it if that feels good.
And wow,
Look at that.
There's awe and the ability to just take care of yourself,
To change things,
To notice and shift.
And invite your body to relax.
Perhaps you notice some tension in your face or shoulders.
Maybe in your hands or your belly.
Or you notice another place that you want to invite in a softening.
And just in this intention to soften,
Have you noticed any shifts?
An invitation or an intention can be magical in of itself.
And yet always no expectations.
Noticing with kind acceptance.
Noticing the shifts within you.
Invite yourself to be held by the earth below you.
To relax into the support of her holding you.
Of her wanting to hold you.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Wherever you feel it the most or wherever it feels the most easeful.
Maybe it's at your belly or your chest or nose.
Or your entire body breathing.
You can place a gentle loving hand on the place where you feel your breath the most if you'd like.
And allow your breath to breathe its natural rhythm.
Nothing to do,
Nothing to change.
No right,
No wrong.
Simply breathing.
Notice what the inhale feels like.
Notice the experience of the exhale.
Notice the rise and the fall of this body breathing.
This magical body breathing all on its own.
Without you asking it to or telling it to.
The magic of your life source.
The magic that keeps you and all other living beings alive.
Now imagine all the other bodies that are also breathing right now at the same time as you.
Beings that you know.
Beings that you don't know.
Those that live close by.
Those that live far away.
All of us living,
Existing at the same moment in life.
The magic of that.
The awe of being alive.
Extend some gratitude for this body breathing right at this very moment.
Just as it is.
Simply experiencing the magic of being in this beautiful moment with this beautiful breathing body.
You can stay here for as long as you'd like.
Resting with the magic of this moment.
The magic unfolding.
And I'll leave you with a special magical song.
The magic.
The magic is here.
The magic.
The magic is here.
The magic.
The magic is here.
Open your eyes and see.
The magic,
The magic is here.
The magic,
The magic is here.
The magic,
The magic is here.
Open your eyes and see.
Whenever you feel ready to end the meditation,
I invite you to take a few moments to share some gratitude with your magical self.
And extend this gratitude to all beings everywhere,
The entire world.
I have so much gratitude for you,
Your magical self for listening.
Be well and take good care.
